Exceeds Expectations. Great Sound, great price. Why pay more?

Summary: These are simply fantastic. The highs and mid ranges are crystal clear and rich. The bass when turned up is kind of muddy; I have mine turned almost all the way down on the sub-woofer and the result is a-OK. The sub just slightly enhances the clear bass response from the left and right speakers. Like others have reported, don't expect this system to rock your world. Do expect great sound that would otherwise cost you $100 to $150.
Summary: These are inexpensive, granted, but the sound quality is really terrible. I got them to replace some 10 year old speakers I use for my TV. They can't handle too much volume and they seem to have trouble with voices. Anything around the frequency of the human voice seems to come out at a very low volume. Ended up using them for a few weeks and giving up on them. Oh well, at least it was a cheap gamble. Odd that my 10 year old speakers easily outperform them.
I've had this speaker set for a very short time ...

Summary: I've had this speaker set for a very short time and already one of the speakers is not working. Additionally, the volume control does not work correctly, I have to adjust the volume through my computer otherwise the volume is too loud or I can't hear it at all.
Summary: Love this little system. Sounds super clear and the volume module is very convenient. Contrary to a couple reviews I read, there is a bass volume control (back of the subwoofer). Great unit for the money! EDIT: After about a week's use, I starting noticing some crackling and hissing noises. It is very annoying to hear with the music. I've submitted a return request for this item and plan to go with another model instead.
Decent for the price, but you get what you pay for

Summary: See update below... 1st review: For the price, it's decent. The volume controller is the number 1 feature that I was looking for so I can manually control the volume of my speakers or headphones. Headphones and/or auxiliary devices (iphone, android, etc.) connect to the volume controller as well (auxiliary cable not included), which is convenient. My only issue seems to be one that others have complained about.
Summary: I would say these are really good for the prices I paid for them. The bass comes out really strong and the quality is quite crisp. I'm not much of an audiophile, but if you are looking for a decent set of speakers at a good price I would recommend these.
Summary: These speakers pack a pretty good punch for how small and cheap they are. Obviously if you crank the sub up all the way and try to blast them its gonna sound pretty bad. But these are great computer speakers, would recommend for someone who wants just a little more bass than normal desktop speakers of equal price.
Summary: I just wanted a small cheap set of speakers for my office so I could listen to streaming music while at work - didn't expect to get anything worth writing home about. This set surprised me with the sound quality. Solid bass without distortion even at higher volumes, decent midrange and highs. They aren't Bose but for the price they sound awesome. Hopefully my co-workers won't complain when I crank them up during an Eddie Van Halen solo.
