Excerpt: I've been in the hunt for portable USB speakers for quite a while now. I workout daily and continuously use my laptop as my workout DVD player. The ones I have now, the wire is starting to break and feel it's only a matter of time before they don't work. I bought these headphones mostly due to the cheap price and the convenience of them being magnetic (easy to carry). Though the magnetic part does make it convenient, the wires are a mess.
Excerpt: Replacing a previous portable speaker, super convenient, which is dying. I didn't notice that this requires not only connecting via the usb port but also at the headphone port. Seems much too fussy. The carry case is poor, requiring that you disconnect wires from speakers to store. That said, sound is fine, but this is not nearly as portable as I would like.
Summary: I bought these several months ago and they worked fine up to a couple of weeks ago. Started noticing slight static in the left speaker, then no sound at all from that speaker unless I played with the connector. Right speaker working fine but I guess you get what you pay for.
Summary: The sound quality is decent and the speakers are compact and came with a nice carry bag. They'd make good computer speakers for simple setups (i.e. study desks, limited space, laptop dock area, etc.).
Excerpt: I did not expect too much out of these speakers. I've brought some other kind before and I heard better without them. My son watches movies on his laptop when he's at karate and thaty can be kind of loud (evenin the hallway). These speakers work AMAZINGLY!!! We actually had to turn the volume down a little bit. Now, he no longer has to put his ear by the speaker to hear and stretch his eye to see the movie at the same time.
Excerpt: I needed very simple, basic speakers that didn't take up a lot of space. I also wanted speakers that powered with a USB port. I followed the instructions and plugged them in to my desk top PC. They work just fine for my needs. I mostly listen to the news in my home office and don't need anything loud or fancy. The ability to power with a USB is a plus. For the money I consider them a good value.
