Summary: We knew with the price they weren't going to have Bose sound but my cell phone sounds better! The right speaker rarely worked straight out of the box. I should have checked the ratings before I bought and not after. A total waste of money!
Summary: I bought these for $3 at a garage sale and I actually feel ripped off. The sound quality is basically the same as using a laptop's built-in speakers, although the headphone jack is convenient and works well. The blue power light is blinding; I had to cover it with a piece of electrical tape. There are better options on Amazon at this price. EDIT: 12 hours later, they started crackling when I raised the volume a bit.
Summary: Only one speaker worked, the volumln knob didn't work at all, I was going to return them but the shipping was over half the cost of speakers with shipping So I trashed them. Say la ve, lifes too short to worry about small stuff.
Summary: Bought to replace HP computer speakers and shocked at the difference. I made the assumption after market speakers would be superior to the ones that came with the computer 5 years ago, but was obviously wrong. These sound like a pair of answering machine speakers. If you just need sound, any kind of sound, then they are a semi-cheap solution.
Summary: First of all, speakers slighty elude to the fact that you might want to listen to music, You can't do that with these speakers, I missed a $9.99 sale (orig $21) at staples, & I purchased them on Amazon, I felt so bad that, it wasn't worth returning, they are going straight to the Salvation Army Donate bin. the speakers on the box, look much bigger than the actual speakers, the sound quality reminded me of a portable AM transistor radio, I had as a 5 year old kid in 1969.
Summary: I bought these for a friend so yeah this is written in 3rd person. That being said, I bought these for her because she's a really good person and she needed something to listen to on her job while she works. Between shipping, I found some very old computer speakers that I picked up when I used to do IT work in a school in Louisville called JCC. These were very old like late 1990s speakers. But I figured I would lend them to her until the newer speakers arrived.
