very impressive subwoofer (yes I own this product)

Summary: This is a 5 star subwoofer because it offers the flexibility to be paired with up to three D3x or three D5x speakers. I can speak to the pairing of the D3x speakers and DSx subwoofer because I own both of those products. I own three D3x speakers and one DSx subwoofer. DSx subwoofer Pros: sound quality wireless (excluding power adapter for product) separate bass control (back of subwoofer) strong internal bass control signal three separate drivers built into one enclosure...
Summary: I only had one these D3x for over a year, and I finally decided to buy another one to complete the set. I recently bought the DSx subwoofer module prior to getting a second D3x. I really loved it buy enjoy it even a whole lot more now that I can put it anywhere in the my living room and get a full range of sound anywhere I sit/stand/or dance. I am an audiophile, and really am very picky when it comes to sound quality.
Summary: I find it difficult to believe that anyone would be happy to have this subwoofer far enough away from ZiiSound Speakers that a wired connection wouldn't work and hence be less finicky. This is a boom box designed to impress those who love BOOOOM!!. Tight base isn't its forte' despite what I've read here. The crossover frequency just isn't at the right level to afford moving this subwoofer too far away from the ZiiSound Speakers.
Summary: Easy to pair, though not quite as intuitive as setting up a standalone D3x. Bass response is good and very loud. I have a somewhat small apartment living room and I barely have the bass knob turned up (~25%) b/c I think it will disturb my neighbors. But if you crank it up, this thing delivers loud bass in a deceptively small package (that is heavier that it looks too). It compliments the D3x great.
