Summary: I returned these speakers because the sound was horrid! I could only turn the volume up halfway because anything beyond this would sound as if the tweeter was ripped and flapping. The speakers have a tinsel sound when playing music.
Summary: These speakers definitely upgrade my laptop's sound (Dell Vostro 1510). I can't figure out yet why they "crackle" a little while playing. Their only connection for power and sound is the USB port.
Summary: These Creative N400 Portable Notebook Speakers are a major upgrade, especially if you like to watch movies or listen to music on your notebook. The sound is crisp (unlike most laptop speakers) and true at all volume levels.
Summary: XP does not recognize the N400 wireless speakers. There seems to be both hardware and software problems. Every time you start the XP with the Creative speakers connected via USB, it takes few attempts to go through Control Panel and audio settings to get the sound come out of the speakers.
Summary: These speakers are great for the price. They look good, they are portable and most importantly, they sound great. I purchased 30 sets for my workplace and I have had all great reviews from my coworkers..
Summary: These speakers are very portable and come with a nice little cloth zipper case. Each speaker has one cable, and each cable is about 2ft long. They are at least twice as loud as my laptop speakers and provide a very deep and full sound for their size.
Summary: I'm not sure why someone else couldn't get these to work with Windows 7. It literally was plug and play for me, and besides, if you just google windows 7 and n400, you find that creative has made a driver for windows 7. These speakers are wonderful!
Summary: The speakers are pretty good, they sound good, with the X-Fi technology music sounds even better. They work fine in XP with my programs, I don't know why one of the reviewers said the audio switched back and forth, I never had that problem, maybe something to do with the default audio playback...
