OK, But Not Quite Great

TH, Amazon
25 April 2010
  • Summary: I've been using these T3030's for about 3 years now. They have worked well and I haven't had any problems with them. The wired volume and bass control is very nice. What I find slightly disappointing is the sound quality. To me, they just don't sound very good.

Wow! And that's an overstatement

Brett Conley, Amazon

  • Summary: I decided to ignore other reviewers' comments about these speakers missing mid-range and being a "one-note boom box". Besides, I was getting them free with the super-saver shipping and the $30 Amazon VISA credit. So I can't and shouldn't complain since I didn't pay a penny for these.

good for the price

  • Summary: cheap, sound fine for a work environment, if you're going to be watching movies, I'd invest in something of higher quality. the headphone plug in/volume control cord is a nice touch.

Too bad these didn't work out

Richard N., Newegg
11 March 2007
  • Summary: I bought these to replace my old Microsoft Sound System 80s speakers that I purchased back in 1998. That's how long those lasted, and I loved them. These pale in comparison, as far as sound. Going to get a pair of the similar-priced Lxxxxtech X-230's, that seem to get great reviews.
  • Pros: They look nice. That's about it.
  • Cons: They sound "tinny," like cheaper speakers. Also there's the static noise that comes and goes.

Get Creative Gigaworks T20 Instead

Xochimilco, Esq., Amazon
11 March 2007
  • Summary: Creative is such a good computer speaker company, they deserve a lot of credit. These are not my favorite speakers, though. The tweeter is good...Accoustic guitar or mandolin sounds as if someone is sitting right on my desk playing.

Rahsean C., Newegg
21 December 2006
  • Summary: If you're a music or bass lover, then i wouldn't recommend these speakers
  • Pros: the bass hits pretty good...overall sound is ok
  • Cons: my sub blew out within a month... the lows would rattle like crazy... maybe because i cranked it up but my previous speakers were fine and i always cranked them up

Alright

Andris Z., Newegg
18 September 2006
  • Summary: Save up some more money and get something better.
  • Pros: Bass is decent.
  • Cons: I got it and one speaker doesn't work. I have to send it back. Of course, I realize this is probably a rare thing. However, I was also quite disappointed in the sound quality of the speakers. A bit jangly and lack of depth. Again, the bass is alright for the size, but doesn't make up for the poor...

Something's missing

Jason P. Gold, Amazon
17 August 2006
  • Summary: I like to have music in my office at work, and I have a door i can close. I don't need something loud, but I just couldn't stand the 1/2" speakers on the laptop. So, I just bought these.

Great Sound

scorpionc..., Ciao
7 November 2006
  • Excerpt: I bought the Creative Inspire T3030 speaker system just the other day and i must say it works wonderfuly. The sound is very clear, and the bassbost really rumbles. I use it primarily for my Creative ZEN and i must say it's a very good stereo system.
  • Pros: Great Sound quality for a low price
  • Cons: bass control not on remote
