Summary: Nice fit and finish and sound clarity is great, but even with all the fancy bass reflex gadgetry they are basically void of any low end. Realistically they are perfect for an office setup where you want clear audio but don't want to be rumbling everybody else with bass from what you're listening too. If for a home setup, even just for my PC, I'd go with something that has a larger cabinet or external powered sub.
Summary: I purchased these speakers for my desktop because I had been researching speakers for weeks and these had the best reviews for the best price. As a casual listener who has only ever owned cheap old speakers, I was surprised and disappointed with these. I was so disappointed in fact, that I returned them. These are the reasons: 1. I was expecting the bass to be too loud for me. I'm not an audiophile and I simply dislike "thumping" vibration.
Summary: The speakers arrived as expected on time. The issue I had was sync to my computer with windows 7, after going out to creative's website and logging on for directions I was given the same directions I received. The issue was in my computer settings, I was able to use the blue tooth and connect to all other devices except for the PC. The speakers worked, the directions on connecting with a PC with windows 7 were not good. I am provide a "It's OK" status.
Summary: At times it works well. Frequently it cracks up a bit. It helps if I shake it gently or lay in on its side. Is that the speaker or interference from other "activity" in my home? I have a microwave in the same room, but that doesn't seem to affect the speakers. I ordered another set of the same speakers for another room and will compare them with the original. Please let me know what you think.
Summary: It had too much bass for my purposes, and not enough midrange and treble. Need to listen to foreign language podcasts where midrange and treble brings out natural voice well. The bass overshadows everything else, and there was a slight swallowing echo that was a little distracting. Probably good for those who like rock music with a lot of bass. Returned it.
Great Cheap Speakers, T20's SIGNIFICANTLY Better Though
25 August 2012
Summary: I wanted some decent but not too expensive speakers, so I set out to find some decent speakers under $100. I bought and tested 3 different sets. * Creative T12 Speakers * Creative T20 Series II Speakers * Bose Companion 2 Series II Speakers After purchasing the listed 3 speakers sets, I had to play them with the various types of music I listen to, Rap/HipHop, R&B, Classical, Jazz, and Country. Here is my short review based off my experience with each item.
Excerpt: I had intended to use these speakers via Bluetooth connection to my iPad as well as to listen to music stored on my PC laptop (which is bluetooth enabled). The connection to my iPad was seamless. Sound quality from the iPad was so-so.Connection to the PC was brutal and the instructions were of little help.
Summary: These 2.0 speakers are easy to set up, look classy (although I'd prefer a grill/cover instead of bare speaker cone) and are much more reasonably _sized_ for a desktop than the Gigaworks T20. The weight and feel of the volume knob does seem substantial. So fit and finish are a plus. The overall sound is reasonably clean. The Bass Flex design gives it very minor kick, but don't expect miracles.
