Summary: The S2 wireless speakers have been priced at Rs. 9,499 which is quite expensive for the performance it gives. True that these speakers being wireless add to the price, but then the performance is a very important factor to be considered. These speakers are not recommended for those looking for a full-fledged mid-ranged sound system. Only if you’re into some low-bass music, these would be an option to consider.
Summary: Creative's diminutive Bluetooth PC speaker system delivers impressive sound for such a compact package.
Pros: Integrated Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming; tiny satellite speakers sound bigger than they look; subwoofer is compact but delivers decent amount of bass; good connectivity options; Bluetooth dongle included for laptop and desktop PCs and Macs.
Cons: Some distortion at higher volumes; Bluetooth connection isn't very reliable; setup isn't totally wireless.
Review: Creative Inspire S2 wireless 2.1 speaker system
2 May 2010
Conclusion: While there is one very obvious downfall to the Inspire S2, we think the quality and performance you get in return are well worth your money. If however, you don’t think you’ll greatly benefit from the bluetooth wireless connectivity , we do recommend you check out the non-wireless version of the Inspire S2 which was released concurrently in Sept 2009, as you’re looking at a possible saving of up to £70 – a real deal!
Pros: Elegant, simple and compact design, Lightweight, More bass than you would expect from its size, Clear crisp quality sound, Bluetooth connectivity, Supports auxillary
Cons: Satelite speakers are not wireless, Right speaker not detachable, Having bluetooth makes the Inspire S2 rather pricey compared to similar 2.1 speaker systems of its size, Lack of remote control
Summary: The Creative Inspire S2 is a miniature 2.1 speaker system that is designed for use with notebooks, MP3 players and a PC. It is a small adorable sound system that also sounds as sweet as it looks.
Conclusion: Although good quality for the most part providing bass and good sound depth, I can’t quite determine the point of spending between 2 and 10 times the price of wired speakers on the wireless alternative. It’s not exactly any less convenient, at a short distance, to have a USB adapter plugged in than a cable in the headphone jack or sound card, particularly when you are sacrificing quality, although admittedly not a lot.
Conclusion: Impressive audio performance make the Inspire S2 speakers a pleasure to hook-up to your PC, providing good surround sound quality. The wireless aspect is slightly misleading, so it is worth considering whether you actually need that wireless connection, or whether the cheaper wired equivalent speakers will meet your needs.
Pros: Great sound quality, Bluetooth dongle included, compact
Cons: Not as wireless as you might think, speaker cables too short
