Summary: For the price this system is excellent. My 14 yr. old daughter had no trouble hooking this up to her computer or Zen. Sound Quality is excellent. Surprised that there is so much sound from such a small speaker system.
Summary: They are excellent. I am so happy that I chose these speakers. After reading some of the reviews I was expecting that I wouldn't be able to get all of the speakers to work without having a special sound card with the extra ports. But when it came it showed other ways to hook up the speakers with just the 3 ports I had on my motherboard (pink, green & blue) and all of them worked!
Summary: This speaker set is great. The sound quality is excellent. Unless your a super-geek who needs a 500 dollar system to feel good about themselves, you will love this system. The bass is EXTREMELY powerful, and makes for a full sound. The speakers themselves have great sound quality. They also don't look like missile silos (as the Logitech X-530- does). On the back of the speakers is a place to put a screws head in to hang it, if your interested in that.
Summary: I spent weeks looking for an affordable speaker with my new pc and finally decided on this one inspite of reading some mixed reviews. I been using this for over 3 months now on everday basis for my music, tv and dvds and I have to say I'm completely satisfied with the performance c'mon I got it for under $80, I shouldn't be whining. With the Creative SB X-fi it's pretty loud & sounds good since I can adjust the settings to my sound preference.
Summary: I grudgingly decided to get a new PC speaker system after the "puck" controller on my Monsoon 3-piece system went bad (Monsoon is out of business so replacement parts are not available). Quality sounds means alot to me as I constantly listen to mp3's and streaming audio while at my desk, I am also an avid gamer (BF2, Doom3, etc).
Don't Look Any More - These are the speakers for YOU!

Summary: I spent a lot of time looking and listening to a lot of different speakers in the local electronics stores. I kept going back to look at these online and read the reviews. For the money I thought I can't go wrong, and when I first hooked them up, I thought they did not sound any better than my old speakers--UNTIL I adjusted the sound under the SURROUND MIXER (under advanced tab)- moved all the settings in the middle except for the subwoofer.
Summary: I wont get technical cuz honestly i know little close to nothing about speakers. But im into music alot so i thought i'd update my laptop speakers...big time. And these things are nicer than any other speaker I'VE heard. The SUB sounds nice, n if u combine them with the Creative soundblaster the options and preferences are limitless! Dont even THINK about whether you should buy them, at the price, its a steal.
Summary: This is an amazing sound system for the computer. For a true 5.1 sound, the pc needs to have a sound card that supports 5.1 and 3 3.5 outputs for the woofer, front and rear speakers. For those who have the traditional single 3.5 output(but the sound card supports 5.1), a usb adapter for 5.1 is needed. If you use the auxillary input, you'll only get a 2.1 effect. I think one main drawback of this system is the length of the rear speaker wires.
Summary: This sound system is all you need inless you want to switch to the digital kind that only needs one wire to be pugged into the sound card instead of 3. Make sure you have a decent sonund card before you buy any surround sound speakers. I have an 24bit creative sound blaster audigy platinim. the card is a few years old but its still better than any of the intergrated surround sound systems, because most of those are only 16bit sound.
