love these

Ward, Amazon
7 January 2014
  • Summary: For the price and being 2.0 not 2.1 their the very best speakers I not only bought to date but sound better than any ones my friends have. The sound is awesome!!! Highs are really high and clear. Base is far better than you could ask for in 2.0 and even better than some 2.1 I have owned.

impressive sound for a portable speaker system

tilth, Amazon
2 February 2012
  • Summary: I've used these to show over a 100 movies in a public venue where I have to set up and take down the projection and sound equipment for each show. I picked them because they make spoken dialog very clear, yet provide lots of volume and adequate bass for noisier action scenes.

Great While It Lasted!

GREG GUITARS LLC, Amazon
18 August 2010
  • Summary: The T40 Gigaworks speaker system appeared to be well engineered and impecably built! Unfortunately they apparently built in flaws impeccably as well! AND no way even a good Electronic Technician can work on these devices as they are all comprised of Large Scale Intergrated circuits.

Excellent Speakers for Music and Casual Gaming

Daniel J. Sauble, Amazon
6 July 2009
  • Summary: As my first set of "semi-serious" PC speakers, I couldn't be happier with these T40s. As many reviews have reported, the bass that these speakers kick out is peculiarly heavy. Listening to Aaron Copland's "Appalachian Spring", the speakers were easily capable of handling the highs and lows of the...

Great sound and well-built speakers

Brian, Amazon
9 June 2009
  • Summary: I listened to a number of speakers at my local Fry's including the Creative GigaWorks T20 (the smaller model of the T40) but bought the T40's since they were only a few bucks more here than the T20's cost in the store.

Speaker response

walrus269, Amazon
7 June 2009
  • Summary: Speakers arrived on time and as advertised. Sound was a bit strange at first, but like other reviews it produced a much better sound after a few days of use. would have preferred floor standing Klipsh or Harmon Cardon but wallet would not allow it. This unit is a good value for the dollar spent.

Decent for computer use, very well made

  • Summary: I have been skeptical of Creative Labs since the debacle with their Vista drivers a couple of years ago, but I have to say that these are one of the better 2.0 setups for PC use.

Great computer speakers, just not very powerful

Mr. M. J. Christian, Amazon
1 May 2009
  • Summary: I'd been looking around for some small speakers to replace an old hifi. I was excepting that the decrease in size would have a cost in sound, but was OK with that. I'd looked around, read a lot of reviews, and finally settled on these.

Stylish Low-End High-End

Amazon Customer, Amazon
9 April 2009
  • Summary: I spent a few days researching 2.0 and 2.1 systems, as I usually do before investing in a new piece of hardware. I have been using a set of Yamaha 2.1 speakers for the past 8 years that have kept me really happy for music, movies and gaming, but I felt it was time to see what has come out in the...
