Cons: But except bass everything else is horrible for such a price. Mid-range is damped (honestly, my cellphone does a similar job in the mid-range), high-frequencies are too bright, the bass is too saturated and the volume control for the bass doesn't affect t
Pros: Crisp highs, clear mid range, powerfull bass, useful controls, compact size, not bad price (£63) from PC World, usefull grills to protect the speakers (I don't use them as they look much better without)
Cons: Not too bass-heavy (this isn't a real problem for me as it makes them sound clearer and more realistic)
nice speakers, nice price, but VERY awkward on/off...

Summary: I got these speakers originally to use with my little bookshelf stereo in my office since one of its speakers has gone bad. I didn't want to get some new system with multiple little speakers and a big bass box - for my office, two speakers are plenty. However, it was really hard to get these T40's to work with the stereo using the included adapter, which was just a little one-piece mp3-jack-to-dual-RCA-plug thing that didn't work with my stereo.
Pros: speakers sound great - and there are only TWO of them; nice price (especially with a rebate)
Cons: on-off switch is in a very very very awkward place on the back of one of the speakers where it is hard to reach; adapter for interface to a "normal" stereo system is not very useful
