Summary: I Previously had the T20 series from creative, and was very pleased with them. Switching to the T40 is just a lot more of the same goodness. The soundstage and stereo seperation are excellent, increased level of volume without any distortion (these go to 11), and the same rich and deep sound that characterized the T20's is evident here as well.
Summary: Just Picked these up for my 100 Square foot Office and they produce a very clean natural audio reproduction. This is the best sound quality out of a set of speakers this size that I have Heard. If you want big teenager "BASS" buy a system with a sub and crank it. If you want a reasonably sized Speaker to fill your small room or office with accurate reference sound and full range. These should be top on your list.
Pros: Beautiful Sound reproduction for small room or office
Cons: left speaker cable very short barely reaches across my 2 25" displays!
Summary: I was quite surprised by the quality of sound of these speakers, especially given the fact that they use 2 small woofers. These speakers replaced Logitech's speakers with a huge 10" sub-woofer. My computer resides in my bedroom and the large sub-woofer was always getting kicked around and taking up space underneath my desk.
Summary: these are absolutely marvelous!...great price...outstanding sound...i use mine as part of a Kitchen setup for my wife...hooked-up to a Samsung 22in HDTV & Sony Blu-Ray...the sound in a small area, such as a kitchen, is superb!...and in case you are wondering the Base response is is good enough that you have to back it off a bit from Medium...highly recommended (your wife will love them...and you)..
Summary: Super powerful, great sound, easy setup. Problem is after 2 years and 7 months of not much use, a problem with static that sounded like loud thunder started and continued even when the computer was turned off.
Summary: These speakers are FAR better than what I was expecting. Great for both gaming and music. A nice little bonus feature is the connector on the front that lets you plug in a device (for me, iPhone) and use the speakers for music without having to turn the computer one.
Summary: First of all, I had worked in the technical end of several well known audio industry companies for 26 years, and had experienced the finest sound systems available in our professional sound rooms. Owned several of them along the way too! These small speakers are not intended to fill a large listening area with big sound, small systems of this type just don't have the guns for that sort of thing and never will.
Summary: When Christmas came this year, I asked "Santa" to bring me some decent speakers for my Mac laptop. Did a lot of reading regarding brands, and Creative T40's Series II kept coming up at the top of the list. I wanted a fairly accurate set of speakers without a sub, since I like to listen to studio mixes on different speakers around the house, without the bass hype of a sub-woofer.
