Was disappointed, It works about the same as any ordinary ...

Daniel Cavazos, Amazon

  • Summary: Was disappointed, It works about the same as any ordinary computer speaker, I think the reviews were misleading. Don't believe all the reviews.

these speakers aren't very powerful and really sound pretty poor. Hardly any bass response at all

JasonA, Amazon
5 August 2014
  • Summary: Bought these for monitoring sound with a video editing system. Not impressed. these speakers aren't very powerful and really sound pretty poor. Hardly any bass response at all. I would expect this from a cheap set of $30 speakers, but not these for $80.

Not Terrible, Not Great

Lon M "lonmad", Amazon
10 June 2014
  • Summary: Overall for the buck they are not bad but if I had kept the box I would return these. There is a huge lower mid-range bump that over whelms most vocals. At first hearing they sound pretty good but begin to wear fairly soon. For speakers I listen to a lot, I really should have spent more.

O.K. for the price.

Oldmutt, Amazon
10 March 2014
  • Summary: I just needed something to replace my old $20 budget speakers and these are about what I expected for the price. I would give it a better rating except for the flimsy connection which I have to Jiggle from time to time when one of the speakers won't play.

Clean sound, not huge bass

hdshasta, Amazon
12 January 2014
  • Summary: The sound is great, very clean, loud enough for 1-2 rooms. Not huge bass, will not rattle windows for hip hoppers or gamers, but fine for an audiophile, video watcher, etc. Bass & treble knobs, I prefer to preprogrammed EQ, or bass buttons, great. It has an external power brick, more clutter.

Good but not great

Ashe Too, Amazon
3 January 2014
  • Summary: For the money, they are adequate. They are larger than I expected and not very loud for their size. But sound quality is adequate, and they look good. I considered a lot of speakers, including the $250 Bose Companion 2. I just could not wrap my head around spending that much money for speakers.

No returns allowed!

Nancy, Amazon
22 August 2013
  • Summary: *Amazon does not allow returns for this product because the speakers contain hazardous materials.* I had high hopes for these speakers, but after I set them up, I found that I could not get sound out of the left speaker unless the audio input jack was only partially inserted.

series 2 =/= better

Chris O'Connor, Amazon
20 May 2013
  • Summary: My old T20s finally gave out after many years (volume knob/potentiometer was the culprit) so I figured I'd just buy the newer version to replace them. Got them in and was excited to set them up.

Very good, louder than most, tone controls

samipf, Ebay
8 June 2012
  • Summary: I bought these as I have a pair of insignia speakers that are great and loud for the size and price and very bassy which is a plus in small speakers. But I wanted a tone control or even better treble and Bass - many do not have this control.

For the money, shoulda bought the Bose.

Autism Hangout, B&H Photo
17 July 2011
  • Excerpt: They're "ok." Probably woulda been a better buy at $50-$60. The Bose were $10 more. I'm kickin' myself I didn't spend the extra $$ for more product. Oh well.
  • Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Set Up
  • Cons: Just "ok" sound
