O.K. for the price.

Oldmutt, Amazon
10 March 2014
  • Summary: I just needed something to replace my old $20 budget speakers and these are about what I expected for the price. I would give it a better rating except for the flimsy connection which I have to Jiggle from time to time when one of the speakers won't play.

Clean sound, not huge bass

hdshasta, Amazon
12 January 2014
  • Summary: The sound is great, very clean, loud enough for 1-2 rooms. Not huge bass, will not rattle windows for hip hoppers or gamers, but fine for an audiophile, video watcher, etc. Bass & treble knobs, I prefer to preprogrammed EQ, or bass buttons, great. It has an external power brick, more clutter. Max speaker separation about 4', great for computer, maybe not home theaters. The volume / power knob is too small, slippery metal, and only protrudes about 5/16" from the face.

Good but not great

Ashe Too, Amazon
3 January 2014
  • Summary: For the money, they are adequate. They are larger than I expected and not very loud for their size. But sound quality is adequate, and they look good. I considered a lot of speakers, including the $250 Bose Companion 2. I just could not wrap my head around spending that much money for speakers. These came in at the right balance of price and performance and appearance. I'd do it again.

No returns allowed!

Nancy, Amazon
22 August 2013
  • Summary: *Amazon does not allow returns for this product because the speakers contain hazardous materials.* I had high hopes for these speakers, but after I set them up, I found that I could not get sound out of the left speaker unless the audio input jack was only partially inserted. It needed to be positioned in such a way that was stable only if I was holding it.

Did not meet my expectations

11 March 2013
  • Summary: I bought these with awareness of reviews that pointed out the poor midrange response, and hoped for the best because I did not want to spend over...
  • Pros: Fit and finish, price, high frequency response
  • Cons: Midrange response

Very good, louder than most, tone controls

samipf, Ebay
8 June 2012
  • Summary: I bought these as I have a pair of insignia speakers that are great and loud for the size and price and very bassy which is a plus in small speakers. But I wanted a tone control or even better treble and Bass - many do not have this control. The CREATIVES speakers are crisp and well balanced and if you pump them they can be loud. They are not worth $100 in my opinion but are worth in the 50 - 70 range. Compact easy and clear - not bassy or trebly.

For the money, shoulda bought the Bose.

Autism Hangout, B&H Photo
17 July 2011
  • Excerpt: They're "ok." Probably woulda been a better buy at $50-$60. The Bose were $10 more. I'm kickin' myself I didn't spend the extra $$ for more product. Oh well.
  • Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Set Up
  • Cons: Just "ok" sound

Nice product for a small space

Ritchie, B&H Photo
10 November 2010
  • Excerpt: They are ok, good. Not great, not impressive but decent. Excellent for a small space or low volume like a work but still want to hear the music clearly. The bass ports on top really do move some air, and make a 6x8 cubicle a party zone, that's for sure. But don't buy these if you're super serious about sound and thump. These should really be $40-$50 speakers.
  • Pros: Attractive Design, Easy Setup

Good looks, mediocre sound quality.

Anonymous, Bestbuy
17 July 2010
  • Summary: Im 15 years old, and I got these for my PS3 so i could listen to some decent speakers, rather than the cheap ones on my Vizio TV.
  • Pros: Look good, small size, sexy knobs, feels well built
  • Cons: Sound quality sucks for ore than average music use, knock over easily, bulky power box for small speakers...

Jimmy00003, Bestbuy
13 July 2010
  • Summary: These are good speakers if you just want to sit down and enjoy some music but if you hit that half way mark on the volume then your done it sounds...
  • Pros: Clean sound
  • Cons: Can't get clear sound past the half way mark.
