Summary: Great speakers for your computer. Light, open sound with lots of definition. They sound best when your ears are similar in height to the speakers and you are seated between them. Bass is limited because of the small enclosure, but I don't mind at all. Gave a pair to my daughter for her birthday to take to college. She plays them all the time, and boasts to her friends "my speakers are better than your speakers!
Summary: After doing a lot of research I decided to buy the B&W MM-1 speakers for my Mac Pro. What won me over is the sleek design of course, hi-fi quality sound, and USB connectivity (which allows it to transfer raw sound data to the speaker, leaving the speaker do the proper conversion rather than the computer). I can honestly say I am very impressed with the quality of the sound and the powerful bass despite the lack of a subwoofer.
Summary: Lovely speakers. The sound is crisp and clear. It is transparent, so as to say. If you are looking for highly shaded sound, such as those boosting base sounds etc. this is not that pair. Howevery, if you are looking for tight sound, these speakers are there. Also, there is no software to work with. Just plug them in and they are ready to go. You can select output using audio midi controls in mac, to select between built in sound and these speakers.
Summary: - Why you bought it It's the high end of PC-Fi Speaker on my desk. - What you like most about it Good sound. Including USB sound card inside. Remote control. - Whether or not you would buy the product again I have a plan to buy one for B&W headphone.

Summary: Let me start off by saying that there are two things about me relevant to this review; I never review products, and high quality audio has always been important to me. I have mostly been a Bose fanatic, buying their products because, well it's Bose isn't it? Oh my have I ever been wrong! These B&W MM-1's completely triumph over any Bose or similar mainstream 'premium price' speaker due to their full range sound replication and impeccable build quality.

Summary: I don't often write reviews. I read about computer speakers extensively before purchasing these. Don't waste your time reading (though it can diminish some of the angst in paying $500 for computer speakers). This experience is like no other. You will hear music like you never have before. Some experiences in life cannot be described, even by a skilled scribe. One cannot analyze great poetry, great music, or great sex.
Summary: I almost never do reviews but there is so much conflicting information out there on these that I felt compelled to add my two cents to the mix. First and foremost the sound quality. It's why we buy them right? These sound great. Better than great. My first reaction was "Holy S***!!". I couldn't believe how great these sound. These are desktop speakers. I sit in the sweet spot. The sound is rich and the bass goes deep enough that I never feel it's lacking.
Summary: I have never spent this much money on a pair of computer speakers. I took a chance that they would sound as good as the other reviewers posted. And they do, I can't believe how such a small pair of speakers can sound this good. If you want clear and precise sound, then look no further. These are the ones.
Summary: I have Bowers and Wilkins in the bedroom and KEF 104s in the living room. Clear that there is a limit to what one can expect from desk top speakers; equally clear that these speakers reach that limit. I listen to a lot of piano and these speakers were perfect for Gould and Lipati. The astounding thing is their ability to handle orchestral music: it is wonderful to be transported on Siegfried's Rhein Journey by these tiny things.
