Get the JBL LSR305s!!

SoundsGuy, Amazon
25 February 2016
  • Summary: Garbage for the price, Wouldn't consider these when you can get the JBL LSR305 (pair) for only $200 by an authorized dealer if you look around. I demoed the MM1, dont get me wrong the mid range is great, treble is okay, and the sub bass is muffled.

  • Summary: While they worked, they were not particularly impressive. An hour later, the woofer on the right speaker stopped working. They're going back.

Static hissing too loud

Gcat, Amazon
7 November 2015
  • Summary: Loud, static hiss doomed these speakers for me. I run a silent computer environment and at 3-4 feet away, I can easily hear the static from the speakers. It is loud enough to be very annoying. I accept that all computer speakers will have some level of baseline hiss but the MM-1 is far too loud.

Output is mediocre, firmware updater doesn't play well with Windows 8

J. A. Thomas, Amazon
11 January 2011
  • Summary: I purchased these as a replacement for my 7-year old Logitech Z-10's, which finally conked out on me. In terms of sheer volume, the MM-1's have nowhere near the output that my Z-10's had, which is disappointing, considering the price difference.

Excellent sound but problematic if repairs are needed

Easton Reader, Amazon
11 January 2011
  • Summary: I have no issues with the sound, appearance, or remote control device with Bowers & Wilkins MM-1 speakers. I do not believe that my experience with them is representative - in any device there is always some possibility of malfunction. My issue is with Bowers & Wilkins' repair policy.

Not Worth the Money

Scott N., Crutchfield
19 December 2010
  • Summary: Bought these from Crutchfield after reading review after review of how great they were. In short, they don't live up to the hype. Mids and highs sound clear and wonderful, but they've got very little bottom end (say, below around 150Hz).

White noise

JC, Apple
11 May 2011
  • Summary: I can't really understand why such expensive and quality speakers are doing white noise when no media or music are playing. It is know that mostly all speakers have their level of low white noise when plugged, but the MM-1 can be hear from 3 feet away very easily in quiet room.

Great Sounding Speakers with an annoying problem

hectorthedog, Amazon
27 March 2011
  • Summary: These speakers produce very good quality sound. Have had my set for around 4 years and still going strong. Remote control works well and I am mostly happy about them. However, one huge oversight by B&W is the fact they have a substantial amount of white noise/hiss when there is no music on.

Doesn't work reliable with El Capitan on Mac

Stephan Wiesner, Amazon
27 March 2011
  • Summary: Doesn't work well with El Capitan on Mac. Worked fine on Yosemite on my MacBook Pro (latest model) but after upgrading zu El Capitan I loose sound about twice a day. Have to turn the speakers off and on a few times to get sound back.

User Review

Malosiev Arthur, Yandex
18 March 2014
  • Pros: Дизайн
  • Cons: Плоский звук
