Excerpt: With all the hype going around the new Bowers and Wilkins MM1s, I decided to go ahead and pick up and test a pair for myself. Being somewhat of an audiophile who has listened to probably 40+ speakers systems, ranging from lousy desktop speakers to full on systems, I have quite a high standard. I must say that the pair of MM1s far exceeded all my expectations! Read below for the full review.
Summary: They are small but powerful. And the sound is very clear. I bought them for my husbands computer but we hooked them up to our in-laws TV while visiting and the sound filled the entire family room. Very high quality sound. I love their simple design as well.
Summary: Great sound from small speakers. Easy to set up. Priced lower than by retail companies. Product arrived ahead of schedule. Bowers and Wilkens speakers produce great sound with good, not overpowering bass. They are perfect for at computer listening.
Summary: While the speakers provide a fantastic, full sound, the bass is just lacking. If I could add a subwoofer, they would be great. I tried them at home, at work and in a conference room - same response from everyone that listened with me: Sounds great but bass 'punch' is missing.
Summary: Great sound from such a small footprint. I needed a small set a speakers to fit on my desk aside my dual monitors and I didn't want to sacrifice sound quality in the process. These speakers bill the bill perfectly. Great sound with nice bottom end. Easy to set up and accepts multiple inputs, both USB & 3 mm stereo.
Pros: Great sound with small footprint
Cons: Can't select input source, all sources come thru on top of each other.
Summary: Excellent speakers, I can listen to music again. I made the mistake of buying Bose companions and for almost 2 years never listened through anything. I have an eclectic mix of Mozart, Handel , Beatles, and even medieval music. There is enough bass to satisfy when playing Baroque organ(usually Handel).Separation and voicing is excellent.
