Great Speakers!

Nathanael Mayo, Amazon
27 February 2013
  • Summary: I don't have much to compare these speakers to other than the terrible 2.0 speakers that were hand-me-downs that came with my old computer around 2004. This is partially because these speakers have lasted me so long and I haven't had a need to replace them.

Great sound

J. Buck "LLUncoolJ", Amazon
23 June 2010
  • Summary: I use these in a touch screen jukebox I built. The sound fills the entire basement. Probably not the ideal use, I'm sure they would sound even better on a bookshelf instead of inside a wooden box, but no complaints.

A Touch Of Class

popsmaw, Amazon
13 September 2009
  • Summary: I have a had Boston Acoustics PC speakers before....and for their size they were pretty impressive. So, when I bought my new Mac Pro, I decided to give the Horizon series a try. Setup was pretty generic and straight forward...no surprises there. But when I hit them with my first iTunes song...

Sounds Great!

Charles, Amazon
11 August 2009
  • Summary: Great sounding system! I got a great deal ($59.99 w/ FREE shipping) and love this unit as a computer system. Crystal clear sound and perfect bass response. Unit does have a problem with interference (coming from your cellphone if nearby), though I just remember to never leave my cellphone near it.

The best 2.1 speakers you can get for the money!

Doc Stew, Amazon
4 July 2009
  • Summary: I'm just going to add to the already stellar reviews here. My fiance has the Logitech Z-2300 2.1 speakers, and I have these. Let me compare the two. The Logitechs are definitely much louder, and have much more bass. The sub is about twice as big as the MM226.

Excellent Sound For The Price

David Ellis, Amazon
30 June 2009
  • Summary: I am extremely satisfied with my purchase I made about 3 months ago. These replaced my 2.1 speaker set that came with my Dell that I should have replaced years ago. All ranges of sound are excellent. I would buy these again.

Decent 2.1 Computer speakers

R. E. Stevens "macgyversite", Amazon
17 June 2009
  • Summary: As in any speaker they take time to break in. 40 hours is usually what most recommend. These seemed to take longer. Maybe b/c of the smaller drivers. Even so, they work well. The sound is excellent for the price I paid. It took some tweaking but I am very happy with them.

Great value office speakers

David A. Wilson "Platypus Man", Amazon
17 June 2009
  • Summary: The Boston Accoustic MM226 was a real bargain at the sale price. I am happy with the sound quality, the ease of set-up, and the high quality user interface (volume control). I was worried about the lighter color of the speakers but they seem to blend into the background with my brown furniture just...

AWESOME Speakers!

M. Limbrick, Amazon
14 June 2009
  • Summary: Got the "mist" colored system for almost $100 less than the black ones. WORTH IT! I hooked a PS3 up to these to play rock band in a room for 50 and had to turn it down about 3 times cause it was too loud. They're powerful, but even with the sub cranked they could still use a little more bass.

Great Buy well worth 80.00 up

Robert D. Keller "Stang-er", Amazon
12 June 2009
  • Summary: I never owned BOSTON ACOUSTICS speakers. I've seen them around for over 30 years, now I own a small 2.0 Computer B.A speaker system. I read the reviews before buying, and I agree with those who said they sounded a little off at first. So I ran them awhile and they sounded better as time went by.
