Reviews and Problems with Bose Computer MusicMonitor

Poor quality sound
21 September 2011
Summary: I have to think most of the other reviews here are astroturf. The quality of these speakers is very disappointing, especially at this price point. These are a huge step down from the slightly larger Cambridge Labs speakers I've had for 15 years that these were meant to replace.
Summary: i went to check the bose musicmonitors out today at the applestore; i knew they were expensive, but i like the idea of really-small, portable speakers for my desk (with a macbook). i figured if they sounded pretty good, they were worth the investment. i have to say i was disappointed.
Summary: With their latest entry, it is obvious that Bose is following the same pricing policy as with their headphones. In short, price them as high as possible. The customer will think he's getting a first-rate product. And one is less likely to criticize that for which one has paid dearly.
Summary: Received these in anticipation solely due to the fact that I need dual-voltage speakers. Note: Few Bose representatives even know what "dual-voltage" means. THESE ARE INDEED DUAL VOLTAGE (GOOD), but a poor "upgrade" from my Bose Companion 3 Computer Speakers (BAD).
