Summary: I was trying to upgrade from my $75 Panasonic speakers, and these don't do that. I expected a lot more from the Bose name than these deliver. The Bass isn't deep or thumping, turned up they crackle on the highs. At lower volume sound is nice but if you are looking for something to get you going these aren't the right speakers for you.
Summary: I purchased a pair of Companion speakers by Bose at Best Buy as a Christmas present last year for friend. Tested in the store I was blown away by quality of the sound. This year I decided to treat my husband to a pair, and this companion series is now what is available, as upgraded version? Anyway not exact same pair. I returned this puchase as the quality was nowhere near the same and in fact did not even meet quality of my smaller desktop speakers.
Summary: Over Rated and Crappy Sound. Sound same as my monitor speaker on my Samsung LCD how sad is that? NO base no Med's No high's Just make some noise. After reading peoples reviews and I thought with 4 stars worth a try. I hook it up for 5 M and Took it out and send it back . If the price is $10 I would have keep it but I think $10 speakers from swap meets are even better. I order a Logitech Speaker System Z623 and is only $30 dollar more and it sound 1000x better.
Summary: What a joke, apparently everyone must have their towers right next to their speakers. The wire they give you will not fit anything less especially if you are trying to hide the wide behind your desk. Have to go out and buy my own. Turrible.
Summary: The Bose Companion 2 Series II speakers are nice computer speakers to be sure, but if you are looking for a good speaker for music, look elsewhere. As is common with most Bose products, the bass fills the room with these speakers, even without a sub-woofer. However, the sound is muddy, and the treble levels are no where to be heard. The sound is lopsided.
Summary: This is my second Bose product that has broken in less than two years with just routine use. They replaced my headphones since less than one year but these speakers broke at 1.5 years and the warranty is up and they refuse to replace. Why pay twice as much for poor quality? I just bought Logitech speakers which are half the price and the warranty is two years. How can Bose charge so much and have such poor quality product...
Summary: I bought and returned these speakers immediately. They have no range! Notice that under "technical specifications" -- on amazon, on the bose website - anywhere! -- there is no info on the frequency response!! They must really want to keep this info hidden because it's terrible; it's very standard to know what you are paying for to find out what the frequency response (Hz) is. I bought them anyway, without knowing, and learned why I couldn't find this info.
