Summary: I was looking for an I-Pod speaker system with a small footprint. After much research, this model seemed to be well rated, so I purchased it. I haven't been disappointed. The sound quality is great and makes me appreciate my music in a new way. The unit has a small footprint and fits nicely on my bathroom counter (between 2 sinks). The bass bounces off the back wall (mirror) so the sound is rich and articulated.
Summary: I was told by my son that B&W was the better of the three that I was reviewing, he was right, I had heard the others, which were also very good, but the B&W was more to my liking, especially the basses.
Summary: I bought the Zeppelin mini because I am abroad for the year and couldn't haul my big Genelec speakers with me. I bought my Zeppelin mini used from save central. Props to them, saved about 50 bucks and the dock is same as new, only slight signs of usage on the remote control. As I opened the package I found a very solidly built speaker. When I plugged it in and played some music I was very impressed.
Summary: This is an excellent product and is more than adequate for any room for quality and volume. It is smart looking and does not take up very much room. Can't beat it for the price. I had one little problem, but the manufacturer (Bowers & Wilkins) fixed it and sent it back out that very same day. Amazingly only a three day turaround! The latest itouches are just ever so slightly larger and created an intermittant connection.
Summary: This speaker is about quality, not loudness. If you're expecting thumping and fancy surround processing you'll be disappointed. If you want something compact that can sit on your desk or nearby and sound detailed and fantastic then you'll be happy. Your old mp3 rips and otherwise low quality stuff will sound true on this system, that is, kinda crappy. On other systems this will be hidden due to the relatively low quality and signal processing.
