Mac speakers gone bad.

MWHITE, Amazon
2 November 2013
  • Summary: The speakers in my MacBook Pro went bad. Instead of getting them repaired I decided just to get a good pair of external speakers that run on the usb port. These speakers work great and sound great and love the carrying case because i travel a lot and it's very handy.

Great Speakers!

N. Lui "cmnora", Amazon

  • Summary: I love this set of speakers. Great sound and love that it comes with a compact carrying case. I damaged my dell speakers because I would tend to hold them by the cord to carry them.

I am purchasing another pair for a family member. Great portable sound-

  • Summary: Overall great sound - Nicely made - Good quality Would recommend the XT1s to anyone that needs good sound quality that is portable. I take the XT1s w/me now when I travel. Their sound output puts the normal laptop speakers to shame.

Love these speakers

jsh1120, Ebay
18 July 2010
  • Summary: No longer available from Altec Lansing, the XT1 was superseded by the XT2, a much inferior product that required a separate subwoofer (no longer available) to provide the same range as the XT1's. If you can find a pair, buy them. They are still the best travel speakers around. Great sound. Nice carrying case. No external power source required. Only "con" is that the design is rather "tippy" and requires a solid surface to avoid falling over at times.

Great for the audiophile on the move!

bwang7, Ebay
15 April 2009
  • Summary: We all know it, laptop speakers suck! No matter how expensive or advanced the laptop, the speakers are usually the last thing you really care about when you purchase a notebook computer. Things like, RAM, Screen Resolution, and the size of the hard drive take priority. Also, it's easy enough to get a set of speakers, put them on your desk, and get the great sound from them. But the purpose of having a notebook is the ability to take it around with you.

Fantastic

Ben Bradford "Ben", Amazon
10 January 2008
  • Summary: These speakers are easy to use. The sound is amazing especially considering the low (3 watts) power consumption. They are powered solely off of USB chord so they don't even need to be plugged into the wall which is great! Good clarity and range from my mid-technical analysis. The carrying case is also substantial - a real organizational plus! All around, I am very satisfied.

good sounding little speakers

Overstock
17 August 2007
  • Summary: I purchased for husband with intent that these would work with MP3 player (zune). Unfortunately I didn't read product description well enought to see that these are not battery operated, but need usb power (from laptop/computer). However these are really nice... COOL case to carry in, Good looking too, as well as good sounding.
