Summary: Throw a decent sound card or DAC behind these and you will be more than surprised at what they are capable of.....I got five or six good years out of them not bad for what I paid. Altec Lansing outdid themselves with these, if you find it, buy it. Trust me.
Summary: I bought this system to use with my tv instead of a surround system. It has nice high tones and the sub sounds ok. The mid range is lacking though. Some of the lower tones out of sub sound cheated. Some clipping too. The remote is nice but very small.
Summary: I have had mine for several years now. I bought this a few years ago. I am just now doing the review, I like the fact it does not take much for the volume to be loud. I did not know the speakers could be that powerful.
Summary: This is the second set I purchased after my first burn out after many years of constant use. The highs the two speakers can reach without distortion is pretty impressive as is the amount of bass the subwoofer generates!
Summary: I've had these speakers for about two years. But the power control button on the speaker's broken shortly after a few weeks, so I have to use the remote control power button to turn it on and off. It still works ok until today.
Summary: Love the speaker system. Have it hooked up to my TV's headphone jack. Lots of sound, nice bass, and the speaker design is really cool. The little wireless remote is so cool. It was the reason I bought the system. I was worried that I was going to lose it tho.
Summary: A friend of mine had an older version of these 2.1 computer speakers and they rock! So I bought these expecting the same or perhaps better quality (newer technology and all). But these speakers are significantly less impressive. They are not bad, given the price, but they just don't sound great.
Summary: I have to say, I was disappointed in these right off the bat. The good: The sound was decent for the price, the sub is just so-so. They don't take up much space, and overall look pretty nice. Overall the system sounds pretty flat.
Summary: Just connected up these speakers and the sound works well for me. Only problem I have now is that it is completely unknown as to how to make the remote work. The battery was in the box (wish I had a picture on the info they sent, but hey, aren't you asking for too much now?
