Pros: Excellent product for the price. I have this system in a 10x16 foot office and it fills the room with extremely low distortion. The subwoofer is running open air (not confined) and handles very high volumes with litttle harmonic distortion.
Cons: lack of volume references for subwoofer and satellite speakers
Summary: sory it not a bose but for $62 after shipping you get the sound of quality youi will not exspect Altec Lansing is a out standing builder of quality will by ther product agen and agen and have in the past i still have a 2.1 sub system i got more then 10years ago and it still rocks the hous
Pros: found this setup to be very suprising for a $62 price tag wow sounds very nice
Cons: dont see any for the price you pay thay are only $62 after shipping for a 5.1 sytup
Pros: Excellent sound quality. Small speaker design, but don't let that fool you - there's plenty of power in this set. Bass is amazing, and the remote really helps with manipulating each individual speaker's volume when needed.
Cons: I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but having the audio jacks be in front of the subwoofer is a little awkward. Other than that, there really aren't any cons.
Summary: I've added a velcro patch to the remote and the side of the sub-woofer and the remote stays put until I need it. At this price, it's perfect!
Pros: Cheap. Very, very cheap. I should say, inexpensive. Well made, excellent sound. I wanted an inexpensive set for my classroom, and these looked like they would fill the bill. The bare end cables are a bonus as they are EASY to extend without a lot of cutting, soldering, and end replacement. I can ...
Cons: Should have bought 2 sets, one for home. lol. Seriously, though, the only thing remotely "con" about this setup is the fact that, with the exception of volume, all the controls are on the remote, and I lose remotes quickly. Also, I suspect that the teacher in the next class will be in here complai...
Pros: absolutely amazing, Altec Lancing has proven to be awesome yet again, will kick *** of $100+ systems, the only weak part is the sub(compared to more expensive systems), but if you don't like your windows rattling this is fine... sound quality is the best
Summary: I got this system because I have had a few sets of Altec's, and these were no disapointment.
Pros: Excellent sound quality, excellent power, good sound reproduction, excellent remote functions. Overall a suppreme mid-power 5.1 surround system. All of the appropriate cables and even batteries for the remote are included! And hey it's Altec Lansing...what more could you possibly ask for! Worked ...
