Summary: One satellite speaker and the woofer died in less than a year.Bass has no control and is excessive. Liked the clarity of the sound, and the bass would have been excellent if it had at least a tone control. The tone control affects ONLY the satellites.
Summary: I purchased these thinking that they'd be a nice upgrade over the simple pair of Yamaha computer speakers I'd been using since 1999. IIRC, those were less than twenty bucks new at [a well known computer retailer chain that went out of business a few years ago].
Pros: The speakers aren't overly large and because they sit short and squat (with the bottom larger than the top), they're less likely to get knocked over on my computer desk. They do work! But the sound quality is "good" only at really low volume levels.
Cons: The sound quality is ok only at low volume levels, and only for certain types of audio. I listen to a lot of podcasts as well as music. Podcasts usually sound ok (although they sound way better played through my vehicle's speakers). Music is a mixed bag. Titles that have more bass are usually dis...
Summary: I hooked up these speakers and the right speaker didn't work. There is an S type plug that goes from the woofer to the right speaker and it was a very poor fit. Perhaps because of it no sound in the right speaker at all.
Summary: You get what you pay for I guess - the overall build of these is quite cheap, which is fine since the sound is ok and they are... very cheap! So no surprises there. However, the plug is pretty ill-fitting and loose; if you touch it then it creates a lot of static and nasty cruncing noises (it's fine...
Summary: I was brought these speakers as a gift and at first was excited after seeing the good reviews for this product. After plugging them in I found the bass to be too loud and unlistenable. As there is no Bass control on the product I will have to exchange them for something else.
