Sub woofer connector information

I have a set of Altec Lansing VS2521 speakers. I found that the cable with the round shaped male 9 pin connector that runs from the rear of the sub woofer to the right stereo speaker is not long enough for my sub woofer positioning. This connector is not a common one.It sort of looks like an S-Video connector. Any idea what this connector is called and where can I buy a coupler and cable to extend my sub woofer position.
