Summary: Given that there is no bass woofer, these really have a nice bass sound. They are not compact or for travel, but if there is a spot in your house where you want good sound from a computer or an mp3 player, these should fit the bill nicely. This was actually the second set I bought.
Summary: Altec Lansing without a doubt makes the best computer speakers. They're far better than bose or creative or sony. Just because sony makes everything electronic, doesn't mean they necessarily make good speakers. creative has been given a false image as the best company in sound quality, however creative speakers are complete garbage and blowout when used at high volumes and their wires break very easily forcing you to jiggle them in order for an electronic current to...
Summary: I was mostly attracted to this product by it's aesthetics. I needed a simple two speaker system for my iMac and glass desk, and this seemed like the perfect choice. The audio quality was fair, but I expected more "punch" with these things. The product ended up only lasting 6 months before it completely failed. They are very attractive speakers visually, but I would not recommend if you need a solid set.
Summary: I ordered these for their unique look. The consumer product review also rated them best for the price (which was very reasonable), but I never could get a satisfactory volume out of them, the volume control is cumbersome and eventually (after less than 9 months), they just stopped working.
Summary: One of Altec Lansing's smallest computer audio systems is also one of its most serious performers. The Expressionist Classic is stylishly designed with unique cylindrical cabinets to house its carefully selected 3-inch drivers. This compact, visually intriguing system is up to the most demanding audio challenges you give it - videos, games, music, movies, webcasts, podcasts and more.
