Great little desktop speakers.

Summary: Compact but with big sound for my desktop. I put the sub in a pull out shelf meant for a printer (of course, I don't know how you can fit a big printer/scanner in this shelf); it fits perfectly. Being partially inside the desk does add quite a bit of resonance for the sound, so I'm probably getting bigger sound than having the sub out in the open. Overall, they have a well-rounded, crisp sound.
Summary: Well I got these computer speakers for about $52 and I am pleased to say I replaced my surround sound in my living with these. Signal to noise ratio is great when used from my computer or TV. You cam bump these up when watching a movie and they rock out. Shake my living room. Thank god I have a house. For the price, they are great.
Summary: This is my second Altec Lansing Expressionist speakers. I sold my home built computer system together with my Altec Lansing FX3022 Expressionist BASS 2-Way Speakers. Now I am building another PC and since I loved the sound of the Fx3022 Expressionist I decided to try another speaker system from Altec Lansing and the Fx3021 Expressionist have got be dancing again, hahaha. The Bass from the subwoofer is brilliant. I like that the Bass level can be controlled separately.
Summary: I use the speakers for my TV stereo system. I run my TV through Windows Media Center and the speakers sound just fine to me. I have had sub-woofer/satellite combo speakers before, and these sound nothing like the cheap, included speakers most computers come with. These are just about as good as you can get for the $50-100 speaker range. Crisp highs, rich lows. The only complaint I have is the lack of mid-range they have.
Summary: The sub woofer is a really nice feature...I wish the speakers were little bigger...the sound is ok but enough to get 5 stars from me(If I could rate in decimals I would give it 4.5, I think 4 is little low)...I was thinking about Harman Kordon Soundsticks but this was more affordable. This is one of the best speakers this much money can buy.
Summary: I owned a set of creative I-Trigue speakers. With the neodyium (sp) type of rare metal. It made everything clear and I was impressed. They fell apart and broke (a lot more ways than one, stands broke off, had to be superglued, sound was seperated, I put a piece of cotton too close to the porthole and it ATE it! litterally ate it. The volume would ramp up and down.) However, these were great sounding speakers. The bass was intense, a little too intense.
Summary: probably the best 2.1 computer speakers money can buy. the highs and lows were exactly how i wanted it. very easy to use and setup. if you registerd the product you get an extra year warranty... how awesome is that?!
Summary: Great product with fast shipping from Amazon. Only had them a few weeks but I believe you would not be dissapointed in Altec Lansing's quality and design - nothing short of space age technology and beauty. I am pleased and here's hoping you share the same results.
Summary: I've been looking for some decent speakers with a unique look for a while. Price was also a concern for me and it seemed that everything reasonably priced that looked good had mixed reviews, and sets with good reviews just looked like boring old speakers. These speakers have bridged the gap and combined looks and performance at a reasonable price. They're great for gaming, watching movies and music.
Summary: I have nothing but good things to say about these speakers. Great looks, great sound. Altec Lansing has really nailed it with this 2.1 speaker system. I use these in my family room. They're hooked up to the AirTunes jack on my AirPort Express, which allows me to stream music from my computer to the speakers wirelessly. Whether I'm playing MP3 files from iTunes or CDs in my CD drive, the sound coming from these speakers is exceptional. Wanna crank it up? No problem.
