Summary: I was going cheap and got these and well they work but just don't create a great sound when playing music. I will just use these until I get another nicer set. Otherwise great product and serves the purpose!
Summary: Not for the serious sound buff, but you get reasonable sound in a good looking form factor. If you need basic sound from your PC and just listen to the occasional music or video these are a great solution.
Summary: My desktop came without speakers so a year and a half ago, I bought some cheap speakers from Mal-Wart (actually they cost more than these did). They were larger, but cheap looking and hollow. When you would push the button to turn them on, the speaker with controls would fall over and take the other connected speaker with it. The sound was tinny and awful. These USB speakers are smaller, but they have some weight and heft to them.
Summary: I needed some small speakers for my office. I think I paid about $12 for these on Amazon. $12 speakers? I was expecting them to sound terrible. Well, in fact, they actually sound pretty good. If you're looking for amazing studio monitor sound, then you're just not going to get that in this price range. But, if you want pretty decent speakers in a fairly small package, then these are a good choice. One bit of advice: when you get them, be careful with the cloth grille.
Not bad sound for the money, but you get what you pay for

Summary: Ok, for their price they're good, but overall their sound quality isn't great, there's a very noticeable dip the frequency response in the upper midrange so vocals although clear, don't stand out. But overall not bad for their measley price.
Summary: Not to bad at all. Altec Lansing are well made and sound great. Don't expect much Bass from these but are a good addition to any laptop, Good thing is no power needed as they gain there power from any USB socket.
