Summary: I bought these about 8 years ago from a retail store. They have a great sound and are my primary speakers at home. The bass woofer has a nice punch - I have to tone it down for NPR podcasts [all those deep voices!]. I'll probably pick up another Alec Lansing set when these finally blow.
Summary: I love these speakers, they produce good quality music in various genres, and it has a nice high bass level. Ok sure a bit of control would have been nice, but I am still happy with these speakers.
Sound Quality Excellent but no Bass Control is a Problem
10 September 2011
Summary: Like many others have said, the sound is just great. But the default base out of these speakers is just way too much. I'm all for bass don't get me wrong. I won't buy speakers that doesn't have a lot of bass but the problem is there is no control nob for bass or treble.
Summary: I LOVE these speakers. I bought them used from my cousin about 5 years back, & they have produced impecable sound through the years. i con only imagine how they would have been if i bought them new,. NO NEED for a bass controll unit, the bass is set at the perfect level.
Summary: I purchased these speakers over five years ago. These were purchased as speakers for a high-end gaming system, and I selected this particular set because I had previously had great success with an older set of Altec Lansing. I've since upgraded most of my system... but not these speakers.
Summary: These are amazing computer speakers. They were given to me as a gift 5 years ago. I agree with almost everyone here that the sub is a little too loud but almost every computer program (itunes, winamp ect.) has an equalizer built in.
Summary: This speaker system is hooked up to my computer, and my TV. The sound quality is great at high volumes, and at low volumes too. One thing that dissapointed me was there is no bass adjustment on the sub. Other than that, im very happy with it.
