Summary: I bought this as an update. I had version 5.0 for a long time. I this every week for preparing presentations and it works well for that. When I do multipage documents it has on occasion crashed, causing me to lose my work. I've learned to save often.
Pros: I've used trials of Nuance before and it does a great job. I found this on discount and with a mail-in-rebate. I recommend this product to anyone needing to convert their PDFs into editable documents.
Cons: A real clunker. The firm is so busy telling how easy the product is to use that it forgets to actually provide the new P'DF Converter 8 buyer how to put the product into use. I tried to download and print the Quick Reference Guide. All that resulted was a Fax form. I don't have fax and, like more...
