Good Enough

GMJ, B&H Photo

 • Excerpt: Before buying this I tried both the Lightroom trial and the trial version of NX2. While I like Lightroom's ability to handle RAW files from multiple manufacturers I found NX2 to be an easier, faster program to use. My conclusion was that I liked using NX2 more than Lightroom for my Nikon NEF RAW files...so I went with NX2. I'm just an amateur photographer..

 • Excerpt: just purchased this and got version 2.2; well I got nothing but tech issues with this, would not save in NEF, then saved as jpeg and got tiny files, the crop gave really weird results, kept freezing/crashing and many more I looked around and found out the version mailed to me is old, and no new upgrades found on install It is now 2.4.7, uninstalled 2.2, got the free trial and now works much better maybe they should just mail you a key and you go direct to download to get...

Need DVD drive to install

bob, B&H Photo
29 May 2014
 • Excerpt: Easy to use and does what I want. Requires a DVD drive to install. Three of my laptops don't have DVD drives because I need small for all the traveling that I do. I just copied the DVD to a USB drive and installed on the laptops that I use with the key code and no problem at all. So I like it - 5 stars. Not so with adobe products - nothing but a big pain and sometime impossible so I quit using there stuff.

Good product, but ...

CY, Adorama
2 April 2014
 • Excerpt: This is a very good product from Nikon. However, the first shipping I got from Adorama was an opened software, which means this could be an used item. Although the Adorama customer service responded to my complaint very fast, it still took me about three weeks to process an replacement, which wasted me a lot of time (and no compensation from Adorama).

A No Brainer for Nikon users.

teddyg38, Ebay

 • Summary: While not as powerful in features as Adobe Photoshop, it does a great job even for semi pro types. Besides being a fraction in price as to Photoshop it also is easier to learn. It does require some trial and error usage to master, but nowhere close to what Photoshop requires. I'm a advanced user and demanding in what my prints look like. I'm printing out my underwater photos from my dive trips as gifts to friends and co-workers for Christmas gifts.

Good Editing Software, but....

The McKenzie Kid, B&H Photo
11 March 2014
 • Excerpt: Capture Nx2 is for me an intuitive program to use. It is closely related to how Nikon cameras store information, so it gives me some insights into settings on my camera. Corrections and adjustments can be made locally to an area of an image or globally. The controls are similar to those used in NIK software now owned by Google.

Great Editing Software!!!

Deanna, B&H Photo
22 December 2013
 • Excerpt: I mainly wanted an editing software to which I could view/work on Raw Images, I was totally amazed at how much you can do with this program!!!I pretty much was able to work on images right off as there is not a high learning curve to it, However, I did order the paper back book on it so that I could learn it even better!

PowerfulEditing Tool, Easy to use

BobSgt, B&H Photo
11 December 2013
 • Excerpt: I just started serious editing of RAW photos. I tried Aperture but found it not as intuitive as expected and did not like the very prescribed library management. I tried Lightroom and was not comfortable with that and was not ready for the expense or learning curve of PhotoShop (maybe someday). As a Nikon shooter I had heard about Capture NX2 and gave it a try; downloaded the 90 day trial from Nikon and found that it was pretty easy to use, especially after a great...

y what I needed

Adorama
1 December 2013
 • Excerpt: I bought this soft ware to go with my 10.5mm 2.8 fisheye lens.
It is easy to use, the manuals are easy to read. It comes with a shortcut booklet that is very handy.
I bought it mainly to eliminate the curved lines created when using the fish eye lens, It does this as well as being able to edit.
for what I do it's great.
