Cons: This software if garbage. I loaded the downloaded software and it would take 2 to 3 minutes to boot, but now it will not boot at all. I tried to contact Nero today to complain but have not been able to get a response from them. Don't waist your money on this software!!! It's not worth the $50.
Pros: Was never able to find out, could not install product.
Cons: Purchased NERO and downloaded. Was out of town and attempted to install several weeks later, but product authorization code did not show under my account. Contacted Newegg customer service and was told they could not help, was given a telephone number to contact NERO directly. Phone number turned out to be a FAX line. Gave up.
Summary: Got a great deal on this software by reading the promo emails. I was using a previous version (Nero 2007?) that did DVDs and CDs, and this adds Blu Ray in the same simple easy to use interface.
Pros: Successfully burned a Blu Ray data disc with a new LG WH16NS40 on Windows 8.1 64 bit.
Cons: Very basic edition - (this is not really a con since that's what I was expecting... )
Pros: It's a CD/DVD/Blu ray burning software and does the job rather well. I was looking for it to be faster than it actually writes but it's adequate enough. However, the speed or lack thereof cost it one egg.
Cons: I gave this three eggs because the software was a bit slower that previous windows versions I have used.
Summary: Nero is by far one of the premier applications for creating or copying discs and has been for a long time. Nero has withstood the test of time and is still one of the best. The instruction guide can be found under the help tab under contents. Since Nero Express is no longer included a novice should spend some time browsing through the manual as the program is not all that user friendly.
Pros: I couldn't resist purchasing a copy of Nero Burning Rom with the discount that NewEgg was offering. I have used various versions of Nero Burning Rom for 15 or more years and I have usually been very satisfied. Unfortunately, that is not the case with this version. I installed Nero Burning Rom 2014 on a Windows 8.1, 64 bit, machine without any difficulties at all. It works just fine on my machine.
Cons: As others have stated, I too really dislike software applications that secretly install other applications that you don't want or necessarily need. Especially when you are paying for the program. At least this version of NERO displayed the applications that it was installing. Just select the custom installation and uncheck all of the unwanted software applications. I was also a little disappointed that Nero Express was not included with this version of Nero. All that ...
Summary: As the title states I love Nero burning Rom been using it for over 15 years and Nero burning Rom has always delivered on a solid product. I stumbled on Nero burning Rom 2014 a day ago and was eager to purchase it but I was not going to pay $49.99. Today I found a code for Newegg bringing the price down to $14.99 the order was quick and within 5 minutes I received an email from Newegg with my license key and a download link, everything seems to be good.
Pros: Unknown since I have not tested Nero burning Rom 2014 yet.
Cons: 1. Installs LightScribe 2. Requires a reboot after LightScribe installs 3. Before Nero burning Rom 2014 installs it asks if I want to install AVG toolbar
