It's a Downgrade

Johnny L., Newegg
18 August 2012
  • Pros: Better UI, but that is in the eyes of beholders. And not really important
  • Cons: It is downgrade. It removed so much features from the standard and add it to the Suite edition, the standard version is almost useless. The only think you can count on is burning data disc, which you can do with the software coming with your burner, and seeing a lot (I meant a lot) of messages pr...

Elias M., Newegg

  • Pros: Burns data, .iso files as they do other freeware programs
  • Cons: I purchased Nero 11 to edit commercials out of a Hi-Def .wtv files captured in Windows Media Center with HDHomerun tuner. I am using Windows 7 x64 with all current updates. The file imports into Nero Video, but when I click either Add Spotter or Scene Detection it pops up a message that a fatal e...

Beware

Joe J., Newegg
16 November 2011
  • Summary: I purchased the extended download directly from them. Rip off!
  • Pros: The burning software works fine.
  • Cons: The DVD viewing software is useless, and the cd ripping interface is not intuitive. They really goofed up with respect to their older versions. Don't waste your money as I did.

Not Quite Ready for Prime Time

Jan A., Newegg
7 November 2011
  • Summary: Since I purchased this program mainly for burning CDs, DVDs and editing music files I'm pretty annoyed at not being able to use it for its intended purpose on my XP system. I actually installed Nero 11 (one at a time to see if the issue was only with one computer) on three separate XP computers and...
  • Pros: Well it does open fast and appears to function fine in Windows 7.
  • Cons: If you're looking to use the Nero Wave Editor in XP it will not work. After opening a mp3 file, editing it by changing any detail and then trying to save it Wave Editor crashes. When Wave Editor is re-opened all controls are missing. The menu bar is gone. Restarting the program does nothing to ch...

not exactly blue ray

Patrick B., Newegg
11 October 2011
  • Summary: the software that came with the liteon ihb 212 which has been reported to not work does very nicely, dont waist time with nero. Cyberlink integrates with media center, nero (if it worked) does not.
  • Pros: easy download, has online chat.
  • Cons: Plays blue-ray in upper left quadrant of the screen. On line chat offers no solution, e-mail results in an endless loop of information requests and finally silence.

Limited use - Nero 9 was far more useful

Charles Dimov, Amazon
17 August 2012
  • Summary: Nero 11 Platinum is a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. There are various functions that I think the product is capable of doing (something as simple as ripping a CD to MP3)... but is not intuitive, or is complicated enough that I have resorted to just using simple freeware instead.

junk junk junk

Doug, Amazon
17 August 2012
  • Summary: This software is full of bugs. The different programs cannot be interused. I had uploaded videos and before I knew it they had disappeared from the editing box. Sent an email to tech support and still haven't heard back after 2 weeks. The program frequently crashes for no reason.
