Awesome

  • Summary: The equivelant 2007 version substitutes Outlook for OneNote. Outlook is far more useful to me, that is why I bought 2003.
  • Pros: Cheap. Easy to use.
  • Cons: Does not come with Access

  • Summary: I just now put in an order for the free upgrade to 07, we'll see how that goes.
  • Pros: Easy to use, good price, everything you need: Excell, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook (if you want it). Who needs Access? Can't even remember how to use it.
  • Cons: You can only put it on three computers, I didn't have the problem where I had to activate on phone, worked fine online.

  • Summary: UPS shipping!!!!!! The Fed_Ex around my town stinks! Plus I know a lot of the drivers, so I feel safe when they handle my packages.
  • Pros: Good suite of software! So easy to use a monkey on crack could get the job done! I have used this from typing papers for school to PowerPoint for my church. Microsoft is ok in my book. Now for the Vista challenge that is coming with my new laptop that I ordered through NewEgg....Oh yeah, almost f...
  • Cons: None really. Once you get the basics down, it is smooth sailing.

Great Deal

  • Summary: My wife is a teacher (really) but you did not need to prove it?
  • Pros: Good price, it's good for three PC's and it has outlook. The other student/teacher offers did not
  • Cons: The upgrade is free but the shipping is ten bucks, you think MS could do it electronicly

It Gets the Job Done

Robert B., Newegg
20 February 2007
  • Summary: The wait for Office 2007 will be a long one.
  • Pros: It works well enough in most respects. The only reason I'm using it instead of OpenOffice.org/NeoOffice is due to some specific compatibility issues with professors' documents.
  • Cons: The floating toolbars are horrible, and the intrusive autoformatting never quite goes away, no matter how many boxes I uncheck. PowerPoint is painfully slow on an Intel Mac (which isn't Office's fault; but it's a con nonetheless).

As good as can be

  • Summary: If you are still using Office '96 you should seriously put some thought into upgrading to at least Office '03.
  • Pros: Easy to use, able to move text back and forth from the internet with ease. I enjoy using this over Office '96 big time.
  • Cons: None really.

  • Pros: Easy install, no issues whatsoever with verification... I am a teacher and expected to have to prove that somehow, I never had to though.
  • Cons: None
