Great product, recommendable
2 July 2014
Summary: What was promised has been kept. Excellent! We would always purchase software from this source again. Installation was flawless and the software is working fin. We always support working with licensed software and as my son is a student we appreciate the great support of Microsoft.
Excerpt: The revamp of the Office Suite is visually pleasing and has even become a little more user friendly. They have kept the best features and integrated them into all of the individual program. Thus, if you can navigate Word, it is now easier to learn to use Power Point or Publisher, etc. If you are a new user, you are in for a treat.
Summary: Newegg will provide you with a download link (actually both and activation and download link). Make sure you have a microsoft account ready (hotmail, live, outlook.com, etc.) I also recommend you click on the link via the target computer for installation. Once you click on the link and sign in via your microsoft account - the license code is tied to your account and will immediately begin to install.
Pros: I purchased the Ofc2013 home and student for my home PC and Ofc2013 Pro for work. No problems, runs great! Outlook in the pro is very slick - I love the conversation mode for emails - a huge time saver.
Cons: Not really a con - more of any annoyance. The installation will "stream" to your computer and install quickly. There is no way (that I know of) to download and ISO to create backup media. If you need to reinstall, you will have to log in via your MC account and re-download. I recommend making a system image immediately after installing.
Summary: Only purchase if you can have a disk mailed to you.
Cons: Cannot activate. On the phone two hours last Friday and got a call back from level two support today with no resolution. Three hours on the phone and a supervisor suggested I get a refund and purchase again. Newegg says I have to resolve it with Microsoft as they are just a reseller.
Summary: Key only, guessing on win8 you use the key in MS's yet-another-app-store, but unlike app stores we've been using for years now, its an install-once-buy-again system. Win7 install requires hoop jumping to get download.
Pros: Nothing new of considerable vavlue.
Cons: New licensing scheme locks license to physical hardware. If your computer fails, you will have to buy another copy at full price again.
Summary: I guess that I will get used to the look. It is already growing on me. I probably could still be using office 95 for the functionality I need.
Pros: Installed it a few days ago on a Windows 7 computer. I have Office 2013 Professional Plus. My version was purchased thru a use at home contract my company has with Microsoft. Cost was $9.95 plus $13.and change for the disc if I wanted it. The cost was the only reason I updated from 2010 version. The new version is not as pretty, lol, The color schemes are only white, light grey or dark gray. I was using outlook 2007 and some of the settings are difficult to find. (I h...
Cons: If you need it buy it. The file format changes again. This version will open any older version in compatibility mode. I am not sure if your new file will open in office 2010. Eventually all will be resolved. You can save your work in older file formats.
