Summary: I am having what appears to be a simple problem. Email messages are on the server, but Outlook cannot download them. According to the server checks during Outlook set up -- all is fine. (BTW Thunderbird has no problem -- and it's free.) Countless hours of phone tech support yields no result.
Pros: Everyone else uses it.
Cons: Tech support is non-existent, yet time-consuming. Cannot import emails from Thunderbird. Templates are bland compared to the equivalent Mac programs. Confusing menu navigation.
Summary: Make upgrade pricing available or relax restrictions on no-disc (activation key card) only and I would seriously consider the investment.
Pros: Used the Beta version for over a month. Great improvement over 2007 - and combines some of the best of prior versions (2003, etc.) with 2007. Being able to customize the ribbons and the File tab (rather than the MS Button) were Big enhancements.
Cons: Microsoft has decided in the name of "simplifying" to dis loyal customers with no upgrade pricing offered. In light of increasing competition on numerous fronts and challenging economic times, it may not enhance their bottom line. (Note the extreme restrictions on the activation key card.)
Summary: Very disappointed in Pricing! Poor value.
Pros: This version is to Office 2007 what Win 7 is to Vista. Some great improvements - New graphic options, customizable ribbon (over due from 2007)
Cons: NO UPGRADE DISCOUNT PRICE!! - Competition is heating up with Microsoft. Charging repeat customers full price, rather than offering an incentive to upgrade is poor marketing!! Poor value. 80% of all computers in US are running Windows XP - Microsoft is charging customers coming and going for medio...
