User Review

David P., Newegg
18 December 2013
  • Summary: Outlook/Exchange Server did work OK at one time. But after automatic security update, many issues have developed which have not been addresses by MS. Open Office plus G-Mail may be a more intelligent solution until MS gets their act together.
  • Pros: Compatibility with previous versions. Excel is better.
  • Cons: office 2010 is just plain clunky compared to 2007. The ribbon does not work correctly and correction of the issue is buried. Outlook's architecture with it's. pst file system is archaic. It does not integrate into project data base systems and does not integrate well into MS Exchange Server eithe...

Win Doze Blows

Jason R., Newegg
4 November 2012
  • Pros: nada
  • Cons: Why would anyone pay for this proprietarycrap when you can use LibreOffice for free and it does exactly the same stuff. All the functionality and file formats. In the name of all that is sacred do not buy this. Save some money, don't support proprietary doo doo and live free. Libreoffice is also ...

Not the best

Nathan E., Newegg
12 June 2012
  • Summary: I think Microsoft went down hill with this. I do not like it at all. The reason I gave it this many eggs was because it is tolerable.
  • Pros: Every computer in my college has it. It is relatively familiar to older versions.
  • Cons: If you took a Microsoft class before, get ready to take another just to understand everything about Office 10. I miss being able to quickly find what I need. It used to be as simple as opening a tab and looking down a list in organized order. Now, I have to click on misleading icons, some of whic...

Does 2nd PC Have To Be Portable?

Jim F., Newegg
14 March 2012
  • Summary: Can this software bundle be used on two 'regular' desktop PC's (one each at home & office?) Or, is there a 'qualifier' of some sort within the software/registration that truly only allows software installation on one desk top PC & one portable/laptop PC???
  • Pros: A great suite of office tools
  • Cons: Price

A good improvement to 2007

George W., Newegg
9 January 2012
  • Pros: I got my hands on a non retail version about a year ago, and have been using it sense. At first I didn't like the new ribbon interface, but it works well once you're used to it. Loads extremely fast.
  • Cons: None.

Highly Recommend

Scot M., Newegg
25 August 2011
  • Summary: Thanks Newegg!
  • Pros: If you are looking to save on buying Office 2010 Professional Edition then look no further. This is a $200.00 dollar saving. Although I have 2007 edition installed I wanted the newest edition for the extra added features it comes with. I'm downloading the 2010 trial edition as we speak, so there ...
  • Cons: This requires you to create an account at the official Microsoft store and download the trial edition of this product to your computer before you can use your key card.

Cannot Download Software!

Anonymous, Newegg
29 July 2011
  • Summary: If you pay this much for software access, the site you go to download it from better darn well work! Don't waste your time trying this method of getting Office. Either skip it or buy the full version.
  • Pros: Office is the standard for business software...
  • Cons: Went to Digital River site as directed to download. The site would not allow me to download and kept kicking me back to the code/empty cart page.
