Good... I guess.

Peter B., Newegg
9 December 2015
  • Summary: I personally will always recommend people try out OpenOffice to replace all the Office Suite software and Thunderbird to replace Outlook. These software's have tons of support and are free of charge.
  • Pros: It makes the older Microsoft reliant people in my company happy.
  • Cons: From a technical support point of view this product is a pain to support for multiple customers. Each copy must be registered to an email, meaning you must either have all your customers suites on your account (which will get confusing and technically is like stealing your customers software for ...

Lousy Install Protocol

Daniel W., Newegg
9 October 2015
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: This version of Office 2103 only installs to the C drive. My operating system is on a SSD C drive. I don't want office loading from the SSD. It gives no other option to load to another drive. This is the most stupid thing I have ever heard of. And new egg will not take a return so I am stick with...

Microsoft makes it hard to love

Albert K., Newegg
9 September 2015
  • Summary: Had an issue that Newegg Customer service handled in a professional and courteous manner. I will always bring my business back to Newegg!
  • Pros: Needed office. It is what it is
  • Cons: Could only download after typing and signing up for Microsoft account. No network media download available. Only per account.

Great product but ...

Steven P., Newegg
2 September 2015
  • Summary: Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 is a great product and the description that was given by Newegg was spot on but there was one small issue. When I ordered, it was as a package deal with a computer. For some reason, however, I received it separately from the computer. Not sure why.
  • Pros: Exactly like the product description
  • Cons: Delivery of the product itself

Welcome to the 21st century ;-)

JUSTIN P., Newegg

  • Summary: Got a good chuckle out of some of these reviews. I honestly feel terribly sorry for any client/s (I hope only one person had to suffer through such incompetence). As a tech and computer consultant ive installed well over 200 copies of office 2013 (all versions and stand alone) and probably over 80...
  • Pros: Like the new features very much. All I know and like abiut office just more of it!
  • Cons: Takes a little bit to get used to new interface and features. Not sure if this is even a con haha. Its called learning folks. New things mean you need to learn. Obvious a foreign concept to a lot...

It's a complicated love/hate relationship

ED C., Newegg
29 June 2015
  • Summary: Excel has been broken for years and M$ still refuses, or doesn't know on to fix it.
  • Pros: Still a nice piece of software for what it can do, but . . .
  • Cons: Still has all the same old problems: Can't turn off hyperlink warnings to files stored on the hard drive. Excel doesn't work per documentation regarding stats functions. Although VBA and Excel generally agree on formula execution order, there are instances when they do not. Excel's Rand() is grea...

  • Summary: If you don't have crusty mental blocks preventing you from realizing this is new software and the current year isn't 1998, you should be fine. Out of the box it functions fine, and within a day or two (if you're honest with yourself) you should have all the details figured out, the suite configured,...
  • Pros: I like it. It's like 2010, but refined. Once you spend some time with it, and actually take 5mins to learn about the new features (especially the new productivity tools) then it's great! Sure it has it's usual collection of stupid things (I get tired of clicking through screens to save files in a...
  • Cons: Having to listen to all the anti-MS whiners, the people who can't figure out oneDrive, hearing the complaints from all the small business people who think this is expensive (bought any enterprise licensing lately?) and of course listening to all the Mac users whining about how MS products aren't ...

Not IT friendly

JOE D., Newegg
20 May 2015
  • Summary: If it wasn't for Outlook, we would probably switch to one of the open source license versions of office. They work fine. But... Outlook. Arrrrrrrrrrrr!
  • Pros: Office software to do your work.
  • Cons: Oh boy... here we go. First off, the key you get on the little card, it is a one time use key. You will never see or be able to use that key again. It is just to get redeemed into YOUR Microsoft LIVE account. Oh yeah, you have to sign in to a MS Live account (in tech support mostly talks about Xb...
