Summary: As a loyal Nitro Pro user for many years, I have quickly learned to use this software and really like the interface. The price is much better as well.
Pros: Assembly view lets you take word docs, pdf files, and pile all of them together, then re-arrange as needed. Can even mix portrait and landscape together (or you can rotate the pages), which just happened to be exactly what I needed.
Cons: in one of my pdf files I opened to do some text editing and the only problem was that the text within pdf fusion was showing a little fuzzy. after I re-saved the PDF and opened with acrobat reader, it was fine.
Summary: to the person that complained about not being able to delete a page, you have to be in "assembly mode" in order to do that.
Pros: I am so in love with this software. Rock solid, does not crash, does exactly what I want it to do, so glad I ended up with it. Corel support said I can load it on up to 3 of my personal machines, so long as it is only running on one PC at a time.
Cons: if you open a PDF in assembly mode and you delete a page, you can not save it with the same file name, file name has to be changed.
Summary: Data entry ain't my forte, but my MicroSoft Works is getting old in the tooth and even though I remember how to use Access very well I'm not shelling out large coin for Microsoft Office Pro (on-line)!!!
Pros: I have my assistant edit my work with it, rather than pay a lot so they can open different files just to clean up my work.
Summary: After using "free" PDF converters and trying to avoid the high cost of Adobe products, this is just what I needed. I receive PDF edits from a publishing company and needed software like this. Bite the bullet and pay for this instead of trying to get by with a "free" version. It's been worth the modest cost to me.
Pros: Great for PDF downloading, editing, and interfacing with Word 2010.
Cons: Using "presentation view," I can't use a search feature (control F). There must be a reason, so I'm not saying that this is a con, it's just a fact, and it annoys me. It takes another keystroke to revert to a "view" that you can use the cntrl F to search for a word or phase. Not a big deal, but it's the only thing that bugs me.
Pros: This software performs as described in Corel's video. Though not openly advertised as such, it is now being incorporated into newer versions of many existing Corel products, like WordPerfect. In addition to being a stand alone product, PDF Fusion is also an add-in for MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I have used it primarily to combine several MS Word-generated pdf's (save as pdf) into a single pdf file. So, I'm not a power-user. The text editing and manipulation featu...
Summary: During the install prcess, the install asks for the serial number to access the advanced features. I don't know what advanced features Corel means. I would guess that without the serial number all you end up installing is a pdf reader only, but that is just a guess.
Pros: Typical Corel product - very intiutive, smooth install Easy to move pages between documents. Love the flick view, page view and assembly view. Have not actually used the assembly view yet. Tabs at top of page track open documents which allow you to move between open documents more easily. In the navigation pane at the left side of the document, I like the tabs at the bottom to move between bookmarks, pages and comments view. This package is an excellent alternative to...
Cons: Not as feature rich as Adobe 9.0 Pro which I use at work. Even though NewEgg limits purchases to 5, the $40 Rebate limits persons, households, addresses to one the number of rebates which may be used.
Summary: I had no issues with the install on a Win7 64bit system. Full installation is almost 200mb so disable your internet connection and then shut down the malware, spyware, antivirus and other program before installing and it should install fine (always a good practice to turn off such programs when doing an install). Fusion does not do everything that a professional version of a pdf editor will do.
Pros: Exactly what I was looking for to assemble documents from multiple authors working on a project. Fusion is similar to Picasa - load the files you want then drag and drop onto a line. Reorder any way you like to produce the final copy. I put doc, docx, pdf, jpg, and wpd formats all into the same document - and pasted only the pages I wanted. Fusion allows you to save in pdf or doc format. Security features are nice if you want to limit others ability to change the docu...
Cons: Editing is a bit cumbersome if you want to overwrite text but this is not a full pdf editor. Edit the original or output to doc format if you want to do significant edits. When importing a WordPerfect file (wpd) directly, it lost some of the more exotic fonts that were in a document. If you convert the wpd file to pdf and then import, the fonts and formatting are perfect.
