Cons: Would not install on a Windows 8 Pro. Hangs 2/3 of the way thru. No activity in Task Manger. Waited 20 minutes on a core i7 with 16GB of Ram and an SSD for OS and Programs. This PC is overclocked to 4.7GHz and boots in 18 seconds so 20 minutes is a long time. Thankfully I only paid $20 for this.
Summary: I have used Acrobat 9 pro for years. I thought it was time for the current version. So in looking at at alternatives, I downloaded Fusion PDF. I am glad I tried the download before buying as Fusion PDF is no longer on my system. A classic case of you get what you pay for. Buy the latest Acrobat, you will be happier in the long run.
Cons: Two very major problems: 1. NO scanner support. 2. Does not render previously edited Acrobat PDFs properly. Properly is probably too kind, try at all.
Summary: crapware. should have bought a pizza instead. purchased direct from Corel when on sale. Wasted $39.
Pros: Installed OK, looks decent for minimal editing.
Cons: There is no way to delete one or more pages from a PDF. The Delete option is always grayed out. The Help file contains nothing about deleting pages. Corel Support provided 2 methods of deleting pages but with the Delete option permanently inactive / grayed out, it it totally inaccessible.
Summary: Please excuse the brevity of this review, after writing for 45-minutes, the newegg review page crashed. Purchased the program on shell scocker special for 35 dollors. When I needed it for a grant proposal where five other people contributed, the assenbled Corel Fusion file crashed the computer. Did not interpret MS Word 2003 files (Word 2003!) correctly and made a mess of them.
Cons: The product is extremely slow to install and gives no indication of where it is in the install process or how much longer it will take. I thought it died, but it finally did finish. The first thing I tried to do was print a page from Excel to a Fusion PDF file, then append a second page to the first. The APPEND function does not work, period. To make it worse, the 'Help' file doesn't even have the word 'append' in it. Conversions from other formats are slow.
