Pros: We have been using WordPerfect since Dos days and have found it easy to use. I like the built-in tools to open, edit and create PDFs. I also like the "Reveal Codes" and "Make It Fit" and use these tools often. For me the bottom line is that it is a manageable and clear word-processing program.
Cons: I hear some people tell me that it is less powerful than Word, but having tried Word, I find Word to powerful for my taste.
Summary: I picked up Print Office from Compusmart, for $15CAN with a $10 rebate. That's about three to four USD. It's a discontinued product but it still has online support and user groups. For the price it is exceptional value, especially for the casual and budget conscious user.
Pros: Print Office mimics the old cut and paste methods I learned and used doing layout and design.
Cons: The learning guides and wizards can be frustrating but it comes with a manual, which helps.
Summary: If you've used the other big word processing packages, you'll find refinements in WP (some old and some new) that just make your task easier. Reveal Codes, for example, enhances any editing task.
