Summary: I personally have been using various versions of this software for decades. Long before Corel purchased the rights. I like this program much better than Microsoft and have had little or no problems with conversions from MS programs. I also like the easy of editing. This program has an editing feature that makes MS look like communicating with smoke signals. You can save a document is most any format.
Ecstatic to be with a new version of this old friend.

Summary: I, happily, used an older version of Word Perfect for 14 yrs, but it wouldn't work with this hateful Windows 8, so I bought this newer version. It's great, and being able to save in so many different formats is another perk.
This product works perfectly and even has additional helpful features.

Summary: I am very pleased with this product. It has additional features which is very helpful, with creating invoices, letterhead, cards, bids, etc. I was & am pleasantly surprised with this purchase.
This version offers more options and is more flexible than my X3.

Summary: I bought this version as an update to my X3 version. I like this product since Wordperfect is the word processor that I'm most used do - I've been using it since the early 90's. I like its ability to work with pdf, .doc and other formats of documents. As to comparison to other similar products, I'm not a good person for that since I've hardly ever used any other word processor.
Summary: I had to buy a new computer, my old one was obsolete. Love Word perfect and wanted to continue using it. There are a few new features about it that I don't like but I'm sure I'll get used to it. It is formatted more like MS Word. I liked the old one better. It was much simpler.
Pros: I have used WordPerfect since 1985, from DOS thru Windows 8.1 Pro. Although WordPerfect can be operated in the Microsoft Word Mode, it was, To me, ripped off by Microsoft; too bad MS did not get nailed by the Feds for making computer OEMs by MS Word if they wanted to get the best OS pricing! That put a big hurt on WordPerfect (which was the company name at the time). It was hurt for a time after it was sold to a company not into publishing, word processing. However, a...
Cons: Compared to Word, none. Or, perhaps that some might want you to save your work in Word format for their convenience.
Pros: I wish the world would finally get a hint and move to Wordperfect. It is sooo much easier than Word. I have used both programs for the last 25 or so years (Wordperfect starting with 4.0). WordPerfect 6X has taken a lot of the little hitches out and made such an easy product to use. Tables, Macro creation, even doing spread sheet functions with out having to start a spread sheet program, and all within the word processing program. It actually imports more types of file...
Cons: There is so much packed into the program you need one of those "Mega-Volumed" books to use it all. BTW, I have a few of those "Mega-Volumed" books to do just that.
Pros: * There are just some things that WordPerfect can do that Word has never figured out * How can you lose for less than $20? * Can be installed on more than one PC * Reveal codes!!!
Cons: * I've never been fond of the other office applications that come with WordPerfect * WordPerfect is just a foster child that gets passed along from home to home, never belonging to one company for very long
Summary: I bought this program for my husband's new computer because he couldn't make Microsoft Word do what WordPerfect does and he didn't want to learn a new way to do things. So it was just easier to get him the program he liked so I didn't have to listen to his complaining any more. He loves the WordPerfect X6 and I now have quiet evenings in front of my computer.
