Wouldn't Buy It
18 March 2011
Pros: Locks computer up, program crashes, Adobe installs 5 programs that run constantly in the back ground and constantly query the internet. That's the good part. They had a trial version which seemed to work.
Cons: Help is so disorganized it will take you hours to find an answer remotely relevant to your concerns. Help has not been updated for Premiere Elements 9 so searches bring up answers about versions 6, 7, 8 and then you can spend hours picking through it to see if it still applies to version 9. Maybe...
Summary: I head Premiere Elements 4 and only bought this because 4 started having some problems too. I really liked the features in 4 and had high hopes for 9. I'm now looking elsewhere at non-Adobe solutions.
Pros: The price was nice, with the rebate and all, but....
Cons: ...the software didn't work. I tried on XP and Win7 several times and it clocked 100% CPU after running 5 minutes. I could never get it to do anything useful before it red-lined. For a test I started an "analyze" on a 4GB clip before going to bed. By the next morning it was on 7%. I owned this fo...
Cons: Piece of garbage software! Crashes, and takes hours to render. Does not accept my HD camcorder even though it claims to. Definitely not user friendly, more like user hostile. If you have time to spare, let's say a whole day to edit a simple 20 minute movie, then go ahead at your risk.
Summary: Good luck trying to get your rebate thats a joke on you of course .
Pros: It sucks it not worth buying
Cons: You need this ridiculous software like a hole in your head this is basically one of the software you get when you buy any camera you know the one you probably never even open . To complicated for regular movie shoots plus not enough features for worth while movies.
