exactly what i needed!
9 April 2014
Summary: perfect! This is what i needed!I bought so that i can better edit my pictures and make fliers. I want to learn how to do this kind of work professionally. My daughter loves it as well and her Nikon camera is registered already in the program.
Again love the product. Suggest purchasing version 5.

Summary: Loved the product, but quickly upgraded to Lightroom 5. Lightroom 5 is a much better product simply because it is newer with better capability. I was not aware that Lightroom 3 was 2 years old. However Lightroom 3 is also a great program.
Summary: If you shoot RAW I think Lightroom is a must. The grad filters, noise reduction and file management is well worth an upgrade if you already have LR2. If it had cloning, healing and skewing tool I wouldn't even need Photoshop.
Pros: Grad filters, Pre sets, great file management and ease of use.
Summary: After hearing all the great things about Lightroom, I finally bought it when Adobe ran a $100 off promotion. Having now used it for several months, I can say it is the one piece of software I can't do without! My primary intention for LR3 was to catalog my images, and it does a great job at that.
Pros: Flexible cataloging system, Easy file renaming & tagging, Great tool for sorting the great shots from the just average shots, Good Raw file control/adjustment, Basic image adjustment controls that are easy to learn, Super noise reduction software
Cons: LR3 needs a lot of RAM - the more the better!, Many of the functions are not intuitive (eg. Export to create a jpg from a Raw file), so there is a bit of a learning curve
Essential software for professional and amateur photographers

Excerpt: Lightroom is possibly the most useful piece of software you can buy as a photographer. Lightroom can do many things, but it's main 2 functions are a RAW developer, and a library (you can also print, export to web, make slideshows, and more).
Excerpt: I have now been using Lightroom 3 for around 4-6 months and I have to say I am SERIOUSLY impressed! I decided to test this after using Aperture 3 because I wanted to see if Lightroom really was more powerful.
