  • Conclusion: . Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 is loaded with new features that continue to be well worth the money for iPhoto defectors.
  • Pros: Adobe Revel integration makes photo libraries accessible from anywhere. Content Aware Move finally closes gap with rivals like Snapheal. Pet Eye effect stomps out hellhounds and demon cats.
  • Cons: Only 20 percent discount for previous Elements users. User interface remains separated into Organizer and Editor applications. Only includes a 30-day trial of Revel.

  • Summary: To assume that Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 is only for amateur photo editors, would not be giving enough acknowledgement to the widespread appeal of fairly priced photo editing software with a great amount of functionality.
  • Pros: Plenty of powerful editing tools, Processing is generally very fast, Fantastic price point, Easy to use interface
  • Cons: Content Aware tool is not as easy as advertised, Less robust ACR than past versions and CC/CS6, $60 a year for Adobe Revel if you choose it

  • Summary: Adobe's novice-orientated image editor goes mobile with new cloud sharing tools
  • Pros: Suits users of all levels, Organizer is a powerful cataloguing tool, Some new effects and tools are really worth having, The purpose of Elements is to offer a pared down version of Photoshop to suit the casual user, and the features it offers are judicious and effective, offering a good balance o...
