Organizer is a disaster
Richard C., Newegg
18 October 2012
Pros: Lots of features, carry-over of some past Photoshop features
Cons: We purchased the combo pack (Elements10 and Premier10). Both run a service called the Organizer that they use to locate and manage images and videos. That service never shuts down. On the machine we installed it on (16Gb RAM); it captured and locked all that memory. Worse yet, when we turned off ...
Pros: I've had great success buying hardware from newegg.
Cons: The installer doesn't work--errors out. I tried the Adobe web site and used their installer directly, it doesn't work--errors out. All of Adobe's suggestions don't work. And the newegg.com software policy means I end up with a useless software product because I couldn't know this would not instal...
Summary: I have used Premier elements since version 4. My current version is 8. Even though this is elements (not full premier) it is bloated and sluggish. My pc is an i7 930 with 12 GB of ram, running on a raid0 HDD. This software caused lagging and long pauses in screen refresh/update.
Pros: This is not Newegg's issue. It is an issue with Adobe
Cons: My major complaint with this program is the substandard video quality in the output to DVD. The picture quality output to the DVD absolutely sucks. When set to maximum quality, i expect compression to fit an 80 minute HD video @ 12Gb into 4.37 GB. But this poorly implemented software goes even fu...
Cons: Do not buy this software unless you have a supercomputer. Our machine met the system requirements. First off, it was a bear even to get it to install. Then you try to open it and it locks and does not start. Got on the Adobe forum and was basically told for it to work I had to go through all thes...
Summary: I have used several editing s/w including open source ones. This is by far the worst made app. Is Adobe even listening to user reviews. I need my money back. FYI I have Quad core laptop with 8gb memory and SSD drive. This s/w still sucks.
Pros: Do not see any thing good about it. It works worst than Photoshop 7 not better
Cons: Just awful. It makes all the tool buttons and menus super tiny. I called Adobe and they have no way of fixing it. There software does not communicate with windows 7 on this matter. I make extensive use of the lasso tool and it quits in a short while when I am using goes places I do not want it to...
Summary: Adobe, You really need to optimize you software!
Pros: Lots of features and functionally. It does a very nice job if you have the time to wait.
Cons: Extremely slow, I have a Q6600 processor with 8 gig of ram and this software is slower than SH&%#. Adobe software has really become bloated over the years. When you start the software it looks for an internet connection, if one does not exist it takes forever to start.
Summary: I was unable to successfully load this software onto my laptop - I'm using Windows XP - it is supposed to work! I checked the Adobe forum - lots of others having difficulties with 10 Spoke with tech line at Adobe - totally unhelpful also - I bought the book Adobe Elements 10 - the Missing Manual -...
