Premier Elements as awful as 9 was

Pros: Photoshop Elements is pretty good I think. It helps those who aren't familiar with Photoshop do things in a couple quick steps that take longer in Photoshop. I like it a lot because for home use, it's really almost a cross between some basic Lightroom features and 80-90% of what most people need ...
Cons: Premier Elements still stinks. It is horrible. It is slow when editing HD, the disc authoring is pretty terrible, and the built in templates are bad. Granted I've tried the simple version of Sony Vegas and it's pretty bad too (more usable, but crashes frequently... at least Adobe is stable even i...
Pros: Lots of features, carry-over of some past Photoshop features
Cons: We purchased the combo pack (Elements10 and Premier10). Both run a service called the Organizer that they use to locate and manage images and videos. That service never shuts down. On the machine we installed it on (16Gb RAM); it captured and locked all that memory. Worse yet, when we turned off ...
Pros: Easy to use with just a little practice. I use this product at work and have opted to purchase for home use. I have used Photoshop for years as a graphic designer. This is so much simpler - I can teach others how to use it pretty easily as compared to CS and other Photoshop programs. Thanks!
Cons: Not liking having to reset my print options every time.
Pros: I've had great success buying hardware from newegg.
Cons: The installer doesn't work--errors out. I tried the Adobe web site and used their installer directly, it doesn't work--errors out. All of Adobe's suggestions don't work. And the newegg.com software policy means I end up with a useless software product because I couldn't know this would not instal...
Summary: I have used Premier elements since version 4. My current version is 8. Even though this is elements (not full premier) it is bloated and sluggish. My pc is an i7 930 with 12 GB of ram, running on a raid0 HDD. This software caused lagging and long pauses in screen refresh/update.
Pros: This is not Newegg's issue. It is an issue with Adobe
Cons: My major complaint with this program is the substandard video quality in the output to DVD. The picture quality output to the DVD absolutely sucks. When set to maximum quality, i expect compression to fit an 80 minute HD video @ 12Gb into 4.37 GB. But this poorly implemented software goes even fu...
Summary: Was really on the fence after reading mixed reviews, but figured they were posted by hardware amateurs. After about a month of use, I'm not so sure. I am a long time user of PS but a first time user of Premiere.
Pros: Works great when not crashing.
Cons: Often crashing. Customer support suggested something was wrong with my Windows install, created a new Admin account, same behavior. Windows log points to a MP4 (converter/plug-in?). Either way, not working out of the box on two different machines.
