Excerpt: I purchased this software so that I could do graphic design for both logos, web and stuff. I had the trial of it before hand to test it and loved it. Photoshop is great - it allows you to create and manipulate images in many ways! I've designed quite a few website layouts with it, and made some logo's for people and it hasn't let me down. It's so user friendly, each tool has its own section so you can find it easily.
Pros: "Customisable workspaces!", "Lots of features and tools", Fast
Excerpt: I have been thinking of doing a review of Photoshop CS3 because I am highly impressed by this version but my only source of the indecision was its price and on top of that this excellent program is not really meant for home and casual users, Photoshop CS3 is really meant for professionals and those who do web designing on professional level.
Excerpt: Adobe CS3 is my life, its my everything. I use this product daily and love the aids that it allows me with out this program i would struggle and i can imagine what i would do without the invention of photoshops by adobe. Its a must use for all designers and photographers. I am a Womenswear print designer so i use this program to make prints and design illustrations!
An incredible program but one that comes with a price tag to match

Excerpt: Photoshop is a name that is an industry standard and as such it carries a level of quality that cannot be found in any other image software in my opinion. Although the interface looks complex at first it is a piece of software that you need to get to know and learn as you go along. It is used basically daily by myself as a photographer for editing images and fine tuning images before they go to print.
Recommend it to anyone who will need graphics designed regularly.

Excerpt: Photoshop is one of the best graphic design software packages i've used. It exceeds expectations and pushes the boundaries of modern graphic design. If you just want a simple logo with a change in gradient photoshop is easy enough to use to do this, and for it to be done quickly. But if you would like something more professional and unique you will need to learn how to use this software properly.
Excerpt: Adobe Photoshop CS3 is "the" bit of software that people use for graphics design, web design and logo design. If you haven't used it a lot, it is incredibly hard to create anything due to the amount of features it has. The problem is that unlike most software you can't work out how to use things in a few minutes and you can't just read a tutorial on how to use photoshop. There are so many features that it can take months or even years until you are an expert.
Summary: My first copy of Photoshop was version 6, I upgraded to CS then to CS3. CS3 loads faster than any of the previous versions. The new features available in CS3 are just fantastic. Black and white Adjustment layer Choice of tools for making selections is vastly improved. The quick selection tool does what it says on the package, and along with the refine edges feature works both quickly and accurately. Adobe Camera Raw converter is vastly improved.
Summary: I dont know why it hasnt received 5 stars from everyone!! Its a fantastic tool for any photographer. Im not going to go in to all the details beacuse most people know about them. After a few years of using the program and knowing all the tools...I dont know how i would live without it..especially the raw facilities.
Summary: Having made a leap from Elements 2 to CS3 (albeit I am fortunate enought to qualify for the student edition - which is hugely subsidized) it is difficult not to say wow! This is quite an extraordinary programme which, even with the assistance of a couple of very good books, I am only glimpsing at the moment.
Summary: I upgraded from Elements 4 to CS3, I found the user interface to be intuitive and easy to navigate. I find CS3 to be fun to use and packed with more features than I could ever need for my purposes, there are however some extremely usefull tools which Elements lacked, the most noteable being layer masks and curves, those of you uncertain about upgrading, don't be, its a great piece of software and i'm sure you will love it, I do.
