Summary: Photoshop CS3 is a minor upgrade from CS2. They cram some Imageready tools into photoshop. Which is fine but nothing is really a "wow factor." Cut down work time by very little and offer not much new content. For $xxx upgrade, CS2 owner should give it a pass unless you got cash and a fair computer.
Pros: Interface is more organize than CS2, save alot of space and time finding certain memue. Most/all of Adobe production should relate to each other now (new feature include more supported export and import file)
Cons: ImageReady is gone. Might not be a big deal for some people who never use it but for old timer, it is a very useful program for web design. I know Adobe try to make Fireworks more popular but do they have to take out ImageReady? Seem kind of slow running on Vista.
The best photo editing programme out there, if a bit complex for beginners.

Excerpt: I'm not a professional graphic designer or involved in any fancy business where a product such as CS3 is used reguarly and, well, professionally. I'm a meagre digital artist, and only that occasionally; but, regardless of such, I own and use CS3 fairly often in my spare time.
Summary: Ok so it is expensive, but as they say you get what you pay for. Whilst i only use it to manipulate digital photographs i know it is capable of so much more. Is there anything it cant do with a picture. I use the MAC version and have found it stable, fast and reliable.
Summary: There's no doubt as to the power and versatility of Photoshop CS3 - it is, after all, the industry standard. The big question is, is it worth the asking price to a photographer? At £562 it's expensive - that money would buy a decent entry-level DSLR and lens kit - add to that the fact that the...
Summary: A wonderful program with a simply huge learning curve. Thank goodness the magazines continue to show me how to use it! The smart objects addition has changed the way I work. I also like Camera Raw to convert my RAW files. I've tried a few others, but always come back to Adobe.
