Digital Arts
8 May 2012
  • Excerpt: One noticeable difference to the new version of InDesign is that unlike Illustrator and Photoshop, InDesign does not have the new darkened interface and retains the same black on white look that we all know well.

Adobe InDesign CS6

26 December 2011
  • Conclusion: If you use InDesign to produce digital publications such as ePub or to create digital PDF forms, the CS6 upgrade will easily pay for itself in time saved. Text- handling improvements also make this a must-have upgrade.
  • Pros: Vastly improved tools; can save back to CS4; multiple layouts in one document
  • Cons: Parent/Child item linking lacks some flexibility; Liquid Layout difficult to master

Adobe InDesign CS5.5 review

Digital Arts
4 May 2011
  • Excerpt: Unlike QuarkXPress 9 , InDesign CS5.5 is all about digital publishing. We guess this is why it’s a .5 upgrade, but if you’re all about print you will be disappointed -- there isn’t even a stability fix for Live Preflight.
  • Pros: Interactive publishing is a leap forward; excellent EPUB tools
  • Cons: Pricing for Digital Publishing Suite unhelpful; no new print tools
