ACDsee ruined a great product!!!!
25 May 2011
Summary: Acdsee took a great product and managed to ruin it with 'upgrades'. This new version of photo manager has you changing and going in and out of different screens to do viewing and editing.....VERY ANNYOYING!....and forces work flows to be MUCH SLOWER than previous versions of photo manager...shame on them for killing what was a great product!
Summary: The image management this software offers is unlike anything I have used previously. I can view images on my hard drive my calendar date to easily find photos from specific events. It also allows me to process my RAW images quickly. Saves time!
Pros: Easy To Navigate, RAW image processing, Versatile
Summary: I downloaded and compared this against a bunch of rival photo managers and found that I liked the fetures of ACDSee 10 Photo Manager the best by far. I'm not keen to spend money on utilities that I don't need but this software was well worth it. It's a joy to look at and use daily.
Pros: Easy To Navigate, Powerful, Versatile, Works Well With Other Software
Summary: I use ACDSee Pro 2 to file and edit digital images. The program is easy to use and comfortable to work with. The only negative comment would be in regards to IPTC and database attachments to individual files. I have not figured out the procedure for doing this with ACDSee and if this information is imbedded in image files that are uploaded to stock agencies. Stock agencies are requesting captions, titles, keywords, etc.
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Navigate, Powerful, Versatile
Summary: I take pictures at Drag Racing events around the country, and typically take sequence shots around 6-7 frames per car. This amounts to a very large number of pictures to be captured and edited at the end of the event. ACDSEE10 has an incredibly fast capture rate when downloading the CF cards( typically 4 gig cards).I used to use Windows fax and pictures to capture the images, which would often take 30-45- minute to download.
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Navigate, Powerful, Versatile, Works Well With Other Software
Summary: I really liked the description of ACDSee Pro on the ACD website- it was just what I was looking for; so I ordered it. After receiving and installing the program, I tried to register it on line, but where the operating system is required, Vista is not one of the choices, and will not be-at least for this version. I understand that beta development for a Vista compatible will start later this year. No patches will be available. If using XP-no problem.
